Our dried flower season has started! A softer sight, a slower pace.

All flowers have been grown on the same nearby fields as our fresh ones, and are naturally dried. So they’ve not been chemically treated nor dyed. You can easily keep them until our fresh flowers are back.

As we work with a limited supply, and dried flowers require a bit more time and management to arrange, we don’t sell them by the stem nor arrange them on the spot. Now how can you get some?

✿ Pop in and choose one of our ready-made bouquets. We keep our buckets filled with different sizes and styles. From mini treats to full bunches, small mono bundles to combinations we like.

✿ Bring us a vase to fill - or choose one in store - and come back later to pick up your tailor-made arrangement. Tip: for dried flowers, non-transparant vases tend to look nicer than glass ones.

✿ Do you have a special request? Ask us via [email protected]

Additionally, we’ll have a changing selection of everlasting paper flowers, and at the end of November we’ll also start making Christmas decorations with branches, winter greens and dried elements.

The Holidays are coming soon, and you might need some cards to adorn your gifts and send out your wishes... Why not make them yourself this year?

We’ll help you a hand in this brand new workshop. In 2,5 hours, we’ll explore the basics of abstract collage with a fun and functional end product: your very own edition of 15 postcards, ready to use!

We’ll propose various techniques to create an exciting range of colours and textures. We’ll cut up our papers in intuitive shapes and try out various arrangements. Glue down your favourites and pick the best design for us to scan and send to our trusted printing company Zwartopwit. One week later, your freshly printed stack of postcards will be waiting for you at our store.

Spots are limited! We have two time slots during shop hours on Saturday 22.11, and one more on Sunday morning 23.11. Get your tickets now at www.wilderwilder.be

‘Creative Ikebana’ (1969) must be one of our favourite flower arranging books so far. Noriko Ohno’s take on the craft feels refreshing to this day, focusing more on its expressive power than on rules and diagrams.

Ohno reinterprets the same materials in various ways, captures personalities and places in her floral language. Weirdly wonderful or minimally elegant, her pieces make the joy of creation tangible.

After an explanation of the basics, the chapters zoom in on different occasions and sources that have inspired Ohno, and that may inspire you too to find your own new way with flowers. Look around you, use what you can find, and have fun experimenting.

This vintage book can be found along other titles in store and online at wilderwilder.be

We’ve just added an exciting new selection of vintage books to our webshop.

With some of our latest finds, we’d love to introduce you to the fascinating life and work of Japanese artist Sofu Teshigahara (1900-1979). Born to an ikebana teacher, Teshigahara broke with conventional rules and founded the innovative Sogetsu School of Ikebana. Producing numerous sculptures, paintings, calligraphy, and collage works, he also became a key figure in Japanese postwar avant-garde art.

Some of these books are pretty rare and valuable. We hope you’ll love them as much as we do.

Pictured in this post (by order of appearance) are:

‘Sculpture by Sofu Teshigahara 1957-1958’
‘Coloured Pictures of Representative Flower Arrangements by Sofu’
‘Ikebana: Sogetsu Flower Arrangement by Sofu Teshigahara’
‘Sofu: His Boundless World of Flowers and Form’

Find these and more new additions at www.wilderwilder.be or ask for them in store.
