Sunday we celebrate all Mothers. Our farmer’s fields are warming up to give us their best.

Pre-order your Mother’s Day flowers for a swift pickup on Saturday 10.05 or Sunday 11.05 via wilderwilder.be (link in bio). Or try your luck and swing by for a takeaway bouquet.

We are certain our bouquets will express as much friendliness, honesty, care and passion as has been put in to them. 100% local, seasonal, sustainably grown, chemical-free and naturally pretty: we think mothers (and all others) deserve nothing less.

This week we’re open Thursday till Saturday as usual, and Sunday from 09:00–13:00.

With our book collection we slowly and carefully weave a web of inspiration around our store, sharing the artists and themes we feel connected with. Today we welcome Barbara Hepworth (1903-1975), an extraordinary British artist known for her abstract sculptures deeply inspired by nature and her surroundings. She is one of the few female artists to achieve international prominence in her time.

‘The Sculptor in the Studio’ is devoted to Barbara Hepworth’s St Ives studio-home, and demonstrates its central role in her art and life. ‘Finding Trewyn Studio was a sort of magic’, wrote Hepworth. ‘Here was a studio, a yard and garden where I could work in open air and space’. The garden can still be visited and many sculptures remain today as she placed them. This book is available in store and online at wilderwilder.be

We’ve also collected a few vintage titles. One holds beautiful black and white pictures of Hepworth’s intriguing shapes, and the other provides an interesting mix of both work and personal archive pieces which offer a fascinating and intimate insight into her life and ideas.

This week will bring the last tulips (already! 🥲), along with the return of some trusted Spring varieties like ranunculus, snapdragons, corn-cockle and dame’s rocket (those names!). There is so much more to come…

If you want to join the ride and enjoy our weekly seasonal bouquets, a good basic vase is fundamental. We’ve noticed though that these are not so easy to find. That’s why we’ve joined forces with Misena, the ceramics atelier of Mauranne Geenen.

The Misena x Wilder vase ticks all the boxes: just the right height and opening for a small to medium bouquet, a neutral colour with lively hand-glazed touches, and a pure cylindrical shape with a subtly ribbed surface. Simple, without being boring. Basic, yet one-of-a-kind.

Our Wilder Easter weekend starts today. There’ll be flowers in store from Thursday till Saturday. There are eggs in our window for that extra seasonal touch.

Not just eggs, but beautifully wrapped ones. They rest per two, three, four or five in knotted Japanese rice straw holders. We were lucky to get our hands on a few of these ingenious pieces of traditional craft and will also be selling them this weekend.

You might recognise them from the cover of one of our Wilder library favourites, ‘How to wrap five eggs’. Through this and numerous other intriguing examples of Japanese packaging, the book reflects on the wisdom and craft that comes from everyday life.

Want to celebrate an occasion with friends or spend some quality time with colleagues? At Wilder, we offer tried and tested workshop concepts inspired by the seasons and the ever-fascinating world of crafts. Not only on our webshop, but also on demand!

Nothing more relaxing then diving into a new craft in a cosy environment. We’ll introduce you to paper flowers, field bouquets, kenzan arrangements and more. While your hands are busy, there’s plenty of time to talk.

Want to have a little breakfast on the side, a cup of coffee or tea, or a delicious range of apero snacks and drinks? We’ll call on our favourite caterers to serve you something special.

A new workshop is in the air! This time we invite two Wilder friends, Hadas Cnaani and Hannelore Mattheus.

Hadas and Hannelore have been exploring their passion for plants and cooking for two years together. On Monday May 5, they will take us on an exciting trip through the fascinating world of incense.

We’ll listen to stories about the burning of aromatic materials in different cultures and contexts worldwide, and look into the qualities of possible ingredients. With our favourite plants, we’ll make our own personal incense mixture which can easily be turned into cones to burn at home.

Finally, we’ll let our senses do the talking in a closing moment inspired by the Japanese kōdō ceremony (scent appreciation ceremony).

Last week’s tulips, this week’s joy.

However modest they may seem at first, once they’ve landed in a vase they truly come to life. Their colours intensify and fade over time. They reveal stripes, frills and curvy edges. They dance and curl as they please. Just let them do their thing and enjoy the spectacle.

Swing by for a bunch of them today between 10:00–17:00. Next week there will be more for Easter, also on Sunday 20.04 from 09:00–13:00.

With the arrival of fresh flowers, we think it’s fair to declare the wedding season opened! Here’s just a few of last year’s favourites. We’ve bundled some more in our highlights and on our website (link in bio).

In our wedding bouquets, corsages, table vases and arrangements we go the extra mile to ‘marry’ our uncompromising sustainable vision with a playful, natural style and a meticulous attention to craft and creativity.

From April to October, the organically grown flowers from our local farmers offer different palettes every week. Keeping your personal taste and needs in mind, we translate the seasonal offer into something unique.
