The second edition of Berger presents "CANVAS - Paint Your Dream" took place at the School of Life in Mirpur last Saturday, where two visionary people have been taking care of 25 children from their own pockets and educating them with their own beliefs and values with love and compassion. These children are dwellers of the nearby slums.
As I mentioned before, CANVAS is an activity under the GreenFest theme aimed to give children a time of joy through painting, cleaning and learning.
Bringing a smile on others is an addictive passion. what i personally love is to bring smiles on people in need especially the children.
GreenFest is an initiative to acknowledge the presence of the Green in our lives and replicate its goodness in our hearts and minds reflected on our activities and lifestyle garlanded by virtues such as Patience, Giving and Forgiving . Its a simple concept. Like every simple concept it is also not so simple.
Under this initiative we have two activities. One is Harmony - Planting Our Dreams and the other is Canvas - Painting Our Dream.
Like all initiatives, Green Fest will also take a while to stand on its feet. But we are on our way backed by a small yet wonderful team of people who believe in goodness.
This video is a short clip of a day long activity. First is the painting activity then we have a humble meal (veg khichuri and dim torkari) together, then put our cleaning gloves on to clean our own environment ourselves, followed by an awareness Q&A session, photo session, take a plant and go home to spread the learning to my family and friends.
Hope you like what we are doing. You will actually love it once we have crossed a time span and put the bricks in its place for the meaning ful results to be visible.
