Market saturation is a term used in business and economics to describe a situation where a product or service has become so common in a particular market that there are no new potential customers left for the business to sell to.
Especially In the past 10-15 years makeup products have become so accesible and knowledge is so widely available that mostly every other person is efficient to do their own makeup.
Only for wedding people look for makeup artist, a handful of super well known, highly expensive tier 1, tier 2 and tier 3 makeup artist are getting all the clients.
People will less budget are posting in Facebook groups to find makeup artist and seasonal artist with copied images from other makeup artist India Bangladesh Pakistan are grabbing these clients.
Towards the end remains people like myself. Started of as a hobby, continued as a passion and invested over 10 lax taka to build a vanity over time and now unable to even makeup the cost.
Because friends and family are interested if service is given for free but when it comes to payment, they would rather go somewhere else.
It's truly disheartening at time. I can't think of a strategy to somehow find clients before my products expire đ
