I don’t think my couples realise just how much their words mean to me.

Sometimes it’s a handwritten card, sometimes an email or a little message after the wedding. Whatever it is, I always love hearing from them.

As a wedding planner (or maybe it’s just the person I am), I love spending so much time getting to know my couples, listening to their ideas, learning what matters most to them and making sure all those little details are taken care of.

But on the wedding day itself, I’m usually so busy behind the scenes that I don’t get to see or experience everything the way they do.

So hearing about the day through their eyes afterwards, knowing they were happy, that they felt looked after and that they could actually relax and enjoy themselves, means more to me than they probably know.

And when they take the time to write something as thoughtful as this, it really does stay with me. ❤️

Your wedding day goes by far too quickly to spend it watching the clock 🤍

You should be laughing with your girls, taking that extra minute with your mum, soaking in the room you dreamed about and actually being present for all those little moments happening around you.

A first for us at Weddings by Malissa, and one we won’t forget. 🤍

Stephanie and Michael chose St. Peter’s Parish Church for their ceremony, a church we had never had the pleasure of doing a wedding at before. And despite a church full of family and friends, there was very little decor needed.

No big transformation. No need to dress up every corner. Just a beautiful old church, full pews, two people getting married and everyone they love there to witness it.

We simply let the church do the talking and it was so special.
