The length of the blusher can range from very short to shoulder-length or longer, with the standard length being around 18-25 inches. Longer blushers are also an attractive option.

Best paired with contemporary type dresses; think fitted with flared for example mermaid gowns or tea-length dresses.

This short circular veil frames the face, draping to the side of the head. It usually covers just the eyes, skimming the nose or sometimes ending at the jawline. Generally made from coarse netting or lace, it is sometimes attached to a fascinator, ornamental comb or headband for a decorative effect.

Best paired with short dresses; or for a more modern look playsuits and wide-legged pants. It is also known as the cage or bandeau veil.

Veils are one the oldest pieces of the bride’s attire, and became a tradition with most not understanding why. It is believed to originate with the Greeks and Romans’ fears of demons and evil spirits; that may thwart the couple’s happiness. Many of the bridal traditions seemed to have started here; veils worn in that era prevented the bride from seeing well, hence the “father-giver” came in to play. He would es**rt the bride down the aisle to prevent her from bumping into things or falling.

Superstitious persons believed it was bad luck for the groom to see the bride before the wedding; hence “hiding” her face. This was the case with arranged marriages. With religion coming into play the veil symbolized modesty before God, obedience and if white - chasity.

The wedding dress is considered the star of the show on this day but the veil has the power to pull the ensemble together. From bird-cage to cathedral, they are many styles that complement any look- its just a matter of finding the right one.
