Coach recently built squat stands for the kids (too cute!) and they were too excited not to put them to use!

So they brought them out this past Saturday during land training with .wave.swim, using ZKC equipment.

Last week also gave them an opportunity to be part of the Barbados Day of Sport for Development and Peace, hosted by the Barbados Olympic Association ().

The team not only explored different sports, but also proudly shared weightlifting techniques with others.

Building the future of Barbados Weightlifting, one session at a time 🇧🇧

RESULTS RECAP 🇧🇧🏋🏾‍♂️

At the 2025 Commonwealth Weightlifting Championships (Ahmedabad, India) our athletes competed in Group B, but the final standings are calculated across all lifters (Groups A + B combined). Daniel Griffith (94kg) placed 8th overall, and Khalil Roberts (88kg) placed 12th overall.

Following this, our team competed at the CAC Games Qualifiers 2025, where Daniel Griffith, Khalil Roberts, and Quontana Clarke all officially qualified for the CAC Games 2026 in Dominican Republic 🇩🇴.

Proud of the progress, the discipline and the standard being set as we continute building momentum towards the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow 2026.
