The Bridgetown International Arts Festival (TBIAF) was overall an artistic success in that we added a new event to the festival programme and included more varied artistes.
We welcomed two new producers to the festival family, Dominic Serrao, who produced Raise the Roof! focusing on classical music in a fundraising concert for the St Mary’s Church roof; and Skate Kween Itrina Ifill who introduced the art of skating as performance in a national dance competition This year’s festival, starting as it did on the exact date it was established 7 years ago, was also a success in that it provided a space for private sector producers of performing arts to present new work of high standards.
We thank our sponsors sincerely, especially the Friends of the Festival, who contribute exactly where it is needed.
