Big news here at Celebration Set Ups! After 6 years and completing 930 jobs (phew 😅!) the time has come to pass on the baton.
When I listed my business for sale, I knew I wanted to find the right person (or people) to make sure it would be in safe hands, and it will be! I’m so happy to introduce Melissa and her daughter Ashley who are officially the new owners!!! 🥳🍾🥂
We have worked together on a number of set ups now and I have complete faith that this fabulous Mother Daughter act will only take CSU from strength to strength with continued success. I’ll be in the background for a bit to ensure a smooth transition and have contacted everyone who has a future booking. You are in capable hands!
I have absolutely loved working in the events industry on the Central Coast. I began the business because I saw a need for minimising single use items for parties so I started collecting second hand items and pieces to upcycle and restore. Little did I know what was to come of this side hustle idea!
I’ve never had so much job satisfaction 💫 I’ve met so many wonderful people ~ not just customers but other vendors and creatives 🌟 I’ve worked at such beautiful locations and venues ~ the places I’ve called my “office” for the day have often taken my breath away ✨
I have very fond memories that I’ll keep with me always. To have played a role in so many intimate and special occasions has been such an honour and privilege, who gets to do that!!? I’m really going to miss it! 😢
Without getting too emotional (there’s been enough tears this past week already!) , I want to say a special thank you to my friends and family who have been my cheer squad and supporters from day one. Many of you have even had me style your own special events which has meant the world to me 🌟 To Vickie, my business partner in the early days, I’ll always value our friendship and have great recollections of working together 🌟
My biggest heartfelt thanks is to my hubby Brad ~ you have given up weekends, been my delivery driver, my repairman and also my builder when I get an idea for something. You can always make me laugh in the most stressful of situations and you’re just the best ### We make a great team, but we already knew that 😉😘
Now it’s time for me to prioritise my family, especially my dear Mum (and best friend 💞) who has been diagnosed with Parkinson’s. Love you Mum! ###
I’m certain that my future will hold many a new adventure involving something creative and I’m excited to see where life takes me 🥰
Melissa and Ashley, I’ll be on the sidelines cheering you on as you take the reigns, good luck ladies ###
