Stealth mode in the van tonight.

Parked up near Macquarie University Hospital for an early appointment tomorrow. Hopefully no general anaesthetic, a quick fix to my residual limb, and then straight back into life.

Got a 40th birthday to DJ on Sunday, so just your average week lol

Tonight at The Cove, Jervis Bay, I’m running my Denon Prime Go setup with QSC speakers and Beamz lighting. Compact, reliable and sounding fantastic.

With battery backup power on hand, the music keeps going no matter what.

Now it’s time for the bridal party entrance, first dance and a big night on the dance floor.

Little surprise… I’m slowly building out my Ford Transit into the ultimate DJ + adventure van.

Right now I’m sitting here playing Sheshbesh with Isaac while Mixmaster Molly is passed out asleep in her bed beside us. Meanwhile I’m getting ready to head back down to The Cove, Jervis Bay for another wedding gig soon.

The goal with the van is to build something fully self-contained with enough battery power and solar to run my DJ gear, editing setup, fridge, lights, and everything I need to comfortably stay on the road between gigs.

Still a long way to go, but it’s starting to come together and I’m loving the process.

SECRET PHOTOS! A few of my favourite “secret shots” from Myuran & Natasha’s beautiful wedding at The Cove, Jervis Bay.

Once the setup’s done and the music’s sorted, I love quietly wandering around capturing the people behind the scenes doing their thing. This time it was the legends from Volcano Studios working their magic.

Always huge respect for good photographers and videographers, we’re all there helping create memories that last forever.

Back at Mount Kembla Hotel this Saturday from 7:30PM.

One of my favourite venues to play with always a great crowd and atmosphere.

I’ll be playing open format all night, house, retro, dancefloor classics, singalongs, pub favourites and requests.

This is the story behind DJ Amped.

After a motorbike accident, I went through a foot amputation back in 2000. I spent years in a socket dealing with pain, limitations, and constant challenges.

Eventually, I made the decision to go through Osseointegration and it changed everything. Not an easy road… multiple surgeries, including having my femur realigned to get my leg working properly again. That part was honestly one of the scariest things I’ve faced.

I’ve also battled ADHD, depression, and mental health struggles along the way.

But music… music gave me something to hold onto.

It gave me purpose, focus, and a way to express everything I couldn’t put into words.

That’s where DJ Amped comes from, the amped up amplified amputee!
