i98 Illawarra Convoy/Illawarra Community Foundation Update
Family Support
Over the last 12 months the Illawarra Community Foundation has provided approx. $1,600,000 in financial support to over 150 local families, from the funds raised by the i98 Illawarra Convoy.
Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District
We continue to work with the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District to improve access and the quality of medical services in our local community.

Tumour Removal device - $415K
This sophisticated device uses vibrations to remove complex brain and liver tumours. More than 150 patients a year would benefit from this new device, that makes surgery faster, more accurate and less invasive for the patient.
Respiratory Function measurement device & medical record integration + Software - $75K
This device provides accurate baseline lung capacity and performance for patients with a range of life-threatening conditions such as cancer and heart disease before surgery,cancer treatment and respiratory therapies.
Endoscopic Ultrasound EUS - $359K
The EUS is used to diagnose and stage cancers of the digestive tract and surrounds such as the pancreas, bile duct, gallbladder, liver, stomach, and oesophagus
Local Charity support
Funds from Convoy have also supported other local charities this year including –
We have funded The Illawarra Cancer Carers patient transport program again this year. They received a $100K to fund the costs of the program over the next twelve months. Illawarra Cancer Carers provide essential transport to cancer patients to and from medical appointment and treatments. We have funded this program for the last 8 years.
