Meet our Comedians:
Liam McCann

Liam McCann is hot off the heels of his first improvised comedy hour, ‘Arguments from Ignorance’. He first performed stand-up in 2010 & was quick to learn the ropes, getting runner-up in the 2011 Class Clowns NSW State Final at only 17. Fired up & highly opinionated, he has since grown into his anger, examining issues big & small with a critical eye.

Liam's perspectives are unique -- his viewpoints are so out of left field; he practically lives there. With a mix of social commentary, everyday observations, & philosophical musings, Liam's insightful wit has earned him spots at the Sydney Comedy Festival & Sydney Fringe Festival. He hopes to pursue a career in stand-up so he will never earn enough to cross the HECS repayment threshold.

Meet our Comedians:
Jamal Abdul

A regular at the Sydney Comedy Store & Happy Endings Comedy Club, Jamal has established himself as a Sydney comedy mainstay - attracting a diverse audience with his straight-out style of stand-up comedy.

Jamal began making waves in the Sydney comedy scene after winning the Stand Up & Be Counted Comedy Competition in 2017. He then became a RAW Comedy State Finalist in 2018 further legitimising himself in the Sydney comedy scene. He has since gone on to self-produce his own sell out shows at the Sydney Comedy Festival & has been selected to tour around Australia in the Are You Pulling My Leg Comedy Showcase produced by Accessible Arts.

Room for IMPROVment

Room for IMPROVment are a local comedy staple having performed countless shows & gigs over the past five years. As an improv troupe, all their comedy is made up on the spot based on audience suggestions, with their off the wall style & unique interactivity winning over audiences far & wide.

As a group, they have sold out the Wollongong Town Hall, made regular appearances as part of the Wollongong Comedy Festival & Sydney Fringe, performed for 24 hours straight for charity in the 24-Hour Improv Marathon & were the first act as part of the inaugural Australian Improv Festival.
