As we settle into the cooler months, we'll be adjusting our shop hours slightly.

From Monday 15 June:

🕘 Monday to Friday: 9am – 4pm
🕘 Saturday: 9am – 3pm
🚪 Sunday: Deliveries Only

You can still browse and order online anytime, with local delivery available across the Illawarra available 7 days.

One of the questions we're asked most often is:

"How long should my flowers last?"

The answer depends on the flowers, but most fresh bouquets should give you around 5–10 days of enjoyment more depending on how they are kept and what type of flower.

To get the most out of your flowers try these tips:

🌿 Change the water every couple of days
✂️ Re-cut the stems when you refresh the water
☀️ Keep flowers out of direct sunlight or away from heating sources including heaters and air conditioning vents
🍎 Keep away from fruit bowls (fruit releases gases that can shorten flower life)

A little care goes a long way.

Some flowers last longer than others just by their nature. A banksia will last a lot longer than a dahlia, a chrysanthemum longer than a rose. It is just their nature.

I'm back from the markets with coffee in hand... I thought I'd do a market pick for you.

This week, as per usual the flowers were so much fun. It was and is hard to narrow down to 3 but what made me smile the most today were these:
1 Billy Buttons, a little (well these guys aren't so little) native flower that have a bright yellow flower. They are also known as Woolyheads and dry perfectly for long lasting love. Thanks for these beauties.

2 Teddy Bear Banksias. Banksias are amazing at the moment but these are a favourite because they literally feel like a Teddy 🧸. They also dry for a long lasting feature. Thanks

3. Cymbidium Orchids. Unlike their tropical counterparts they love the cooler weather so appear at this time of year in the most amazing colours. Long lasting they will make you smile for ages.

Its not just the busy times I go, I am up there every week, seeing what's new, talking to the local farmers and buying fresh flowers. All year round it is a passion and my job, and I love it.

Did you know that winter blooms are just stunning. People often think because of the weather the flowers aren't around. This couldn't be further from the truth. Tulips, Stock, Kale and sweet peas are just arriving. Don't even get me started on the natives. They are beautiful at this time of year. Wax has just arrived so we know the cooler months are here. It is an exciting time for flowers.

So, pop into your local florist to get something beautiful and fresh to tide over these rainy days!

We had the absolute privilege of creating the wedding blooms for the beautiful Jen & Shane earlier this year, and we’ve been eagerly waiting to share these gorgeous photos with you 🤍

Held at Kangaroo Valley Golf & Country Retreat, their wedding day was nothing short of magical. The soft misty rain and low clouds created the dreamiest backdrop for such a special celebration.

Surrounded by their closest family and friends, Jen & Shane celebrated their love in the most intimate and heartfelt way — and we were so honoured to play a small part in it.
