This week I had the honour to speak to the graduating class of hospitality students at TAFE southbank. The biggest highlight of the day however for me we seeing our very own Jordan Dai receive his certificate 3 in commercial cookery. It has been great to see you grow since you first joined us Jordan and we look forward to seeing you continue to develop your cheffing skills with ACS in the years ahead.

This week we had the pleasure of hosting three ladies from the boarding school kitchen team at Yanco Agricultural High School The ladies spent some time at the ACS kitchens, visited various venues and chatted with suppliers as part of their professional development. It’s a great pleasure to be able to host the team and to support one of Australia’s finest agricultural high schools. Thanks for visiting us Karen, Helen and Lorraine. Another Thursday throwback. In our very early days as Wok On Catering we had the pleasure of serving our Oriental Omelettes to guests across various farmers markets in Brisbane. Our favourite being the famous Brisbane A great breakfast and a great start to ACS from the very early days. Chris Edwards and Jo Logan in action on the hot plates!

This week we celebrate our relationship with the team at Micat. The might ferry that services the Brisbane to Moreton Island route. We partnered with the Micat team on several Riverfire nights, BBC Semi Formals and various other events. Some of you might recognise the "very" good looking couple on the woks in this picture! A big shout out to Roz Shaw, Paula Sully and all the Moreton Island Adventures who helped make it all happen. Including the amazing forklift work to get our Woks on to the middle deck! Another important partner in the growth of our business and we send our love and thanks to the Moreton Island Adventures team as we celebrate 20 years of ACS. 🏖️ 🌴☀️❤️

As part of our flash back series to celebrate our 20years we'll roll out some content over the next few months. Today it's one of my favourites. In 2009 we hit the TV screens of Brisbane with our very own TV Commercial when we were "Wok On".
It was a really proud moment in the growth of our family business, and was a lot of fun as well. Thanks to all the friends and family who jumped in as guests and extras! We are not Wok On anymore but we fondly remember our beginnings and the steps in our journey.

On the 4th of July 2004 we opened the doors for the first time, from our original roots as Wok On Catering, market stalls at the Powerhouse Markets to boardroom dinners, and major events for thousands. With several venues now contracted we are Brisbane's best locally owned venue caterer. It's been one great journey. We started as a team of two, and now have a team of 180. Cheers to us and we hope you get a chance to join us at one of our venues soon as we celebrate our 20th anniversary in the months ahead. 🌅
