From the moment you walk through Back Bar’s door, you sense an air of style and sophistication. The room is exquisitely fashioned with a richly coloured Axminster carpet, ornate couches, gilded mirrors, flocked wallpaper and a pressed metal ceiling reminiscent of the glitz and glamour of the 1940’s. At Back Bar you can sit and relax in what feels like your own private and decadent lounge room while sipping on one of over 60 cocktail creations on offer like ‘Bangkok Fire’, ‘The Parisian’ or ‘Le Pink Bits’, or you can chill out in front of the open wood fire with a cold b**r and a few mates while contemplating your next move in a game of chess or backgammon. There are two separate lounge and bar areas at Back Bar both of which are available for function bookings. The Red Lounge with its decadent, rich red décor can cater for up to 60 guests whilst the Gold Lounge suitably named to match its opulent golden interior and grandeur size can cater for up to 100 guests.

🍸 Olivia’s Hens | Upwey 🍸

A whole lot of shaking, sipping & celebrating for Olivia’s hens! 💍🥂

We brought the cocktails to Upwey for a fabulous afternoon of hands-on cocktail making, plenty of laughs and a few very delicious drinks.

On the menu:
🍋 Margaritas
🌿 Gin Gardens
🍸 Pornstar Martinis

From shaking to pouring (and, of course, tasting!) this group got right into the spirit of things. 🍹✨

What better way to celebrate the bride-to-be than with your favourite people, cocktails in hand and a few questionable shaking techniques along the way! 😂🥂

Cheers to Olivia & her hens! 💚

Sunshine, shaken cocktails and seaside celebrations in Rye ☀️🍸

Back Bar loved hosting Cath’s beautiful bachelorette party, where this lovely group mixed, poured and toasted their way through a fun hands-on cocktail class.

From first shake to final cheers, the energy was high and the cocktails were flowing — exactly how a Mornington Peninsula hens should be.

Shaking up end-of-year celebrations 🍸
We recently hosted a cocktail making class for a company’s EOFY celebration, turning team bonding into a hands-on, flavour-packed experience. The group mixed up a White Lady, Aperol Mojito and a crowd-favourite Espresso Martini — with plenty of laughs along the way. A perfect way to celebrate, connect and toast the year that was.
