Your Wedding, Your Way

Your Wedding, Your Way Authorised Marriage and Civil Celebrant. Our celebrations are a mirror, reflecting who we are, who we love and those who love us.

Celebrations – of a life just beginning, a life lived in love and partnership, or of a life well-lived – are the milestones scattered through our memories. My name is Shane Reiche and I am an authorised Marriage Celebrant. I believe that life is a celebration and that we would should celebrate it with ceremony. I want to provide people with an alternative to religious weddings, baptisms and funera

ls and will conduct all manner of civil ceremony that you need. Everything from commitment ceremonies, renewal of vows, child namings, funerals, memorials, and pet funerals just to name a few. I was also overjoyed after the Government finally grew up enough to allow same-sex couples the same rights to marriage that everyone else has always enjoyed. I would be honoured to help any same-sex couples to achieve the legal dignity and recognition of your love that you deserve.

My office today as I officiated the marriage of two beautiful people, Andrea and Sarah at McCarthy’s Orchard. A rainy day that didn’t dampen the obvious love or occasion. Thanks for the honour folks.

Yesterday’s wedding ceremony was a beautiful event. It was an honour and a privilege to solemnise their marriage. I’m also not afraid to say that I got a little bit emotional (but thankfully kept it together) when they delivered their personal vows to each other. However, that became far more difficult when watching their first dance as husband and wife and when their Dads delivered their speeches at the reception. So, it is with great pleasure that I introduce you all to Mr and Mrs Harry and Jessica Stewart.

Tomorrow I have the honour of officiating the marriage of these two beautiful humans, Jess and Harry, my cousin’s son and his beautiful bride. I love being a celebrant but it’s even more special when it’s a family celebration. Welcome to the family Jess, you are the perfect fit for our brand of crazy!

This beautiful couple (Dani and Jordy) were all set for their wedding (which was to be my final ceremony before relocating to South Australia). The ceremony script was written, all pre-wedding legal paperwork signed and BANG....I had a positive COVID RAT result on the morning of the big day. To their credit they both remained calm when I rang them with the news and that I would try to get them a replacement celebrant. Thankfully, the amazing Sally-Ann Thomas from https://www.facebook.com/Unique.Sallybrations stepped in at very short notice and delivered my ceremony for Dani and Jordy (and more importantly, Dani and Jordy both loved how Sally-Ann delivered it). If you are looking for a Brisbane celebrant, I can’t recommend Sally-Ann highly enough. Thanks Sally-Ann, you are a life-saver and a gem.

My office yesterday as I officiated the marriage of Paul and Ellana. Congratulations to both of you for not allowing the COVID to win and for pressing ahead despite the date and venue changes along the way. It was an honour to be there with you from the beginning and get you to wedded bliss.

There is almost nothing better than pronouncing two people as happily married....almost....On rare occasions I get to go one better and do this for my family whom I love dearly. Tomorrow I have the honour of officiating the marriage of my nephew Paul and his beautiful bride Ellana and can’t wait to pronounce them as husband and wife. Congratulations Paul and Ellana and thanks for choosing me for your big day!

My office yesterday. It was an honour to officiate the marriage of Mel and Steve. It was a fantastic day with a great steam punk theme that coincided beautifully with Halloween! And speaking of acts of absolute honour, Steve has chosen to honour his beautiful bride by taking on Mel’s maiden name. Congratulations folks and best wishes from Suzy and me as you continue to forge your lives together as the newest Mr and Mrs Jordan!

Celebrations – of a life just beginning, a life lived in love and partnership, or of a life well-lived – are the milestones scattered through our memories. Our celebrations are a mirror, reflecting who we are, who we love and who loves us. Tomorrow, I have the privilege of guiding these two beautiful people through their wedding ceremony as their celebrant and will have the absolute honour of pronouncing them as Happily Married before sending them into the world as Husband and Wife. Congratulations Kieren and Amanda and see you tomorrow!
