Massive congratulations to everyone who came out to support and have a go at the very first edition of Great White Ultra, Port Lincoln, South Australia. We had ridiculously beautiful weather, participants and volunteers. Huge thanks to our sponsors Calypso Star Shark Charters, Boston Hotel, Local Liquid Waste Removal, Tailwind, The Run Shop and Your Dental Care.

Despite some last minute unapproved course changes and other minor teething issues there were plenty of satisfied and adequately exauhsted individuals and teams at the finish line.

Well done to all our ultra finishers. Yes the course was tougher than expected but possibly more scenic than expected. Our first 100k male and female winners, Martyn Goody (9hr 39min) and Sheena Appleyard (12hr 44min). And to our 60k male and female winners Clay Smith (5hr 14min) and Lucy Clutterbuck (7hrs 4min). In the 22 and a bit winners were Neil McParland and Margo Mackintosh. Our speedy 5k winners were Murphy McShane (17:44) and Jade Crawford (22:60).

All Great White Ultra drop bag stuff is available at the Boston now until 9.30pm. Anything left here will be available at Tulka House tomorrow from 9am. Cheers

The 2026 Great White Ultra 100k, 60k and 22k have sold out! Still a few spots remaining in the 5k. Provisional start list is up and ready for review.

Just a quick heads up that there are some amazing flowers to be seen in the Lincoln National Park at the moment and that there are only 4 spots left in the Great White Ultra 100k or 60k events. Didn't think we'd get to this point already. Make the decision now.

1 week to go! And the Great White Ultra hand made glass shark fin trophies by Meg Caslake and David Pedler for the 100k and 60k overall winners are good to go. Not quite sheep stations but definitely worth racing hard for.

Massive thanks to all who have already offered to help at the Great White Ultra Saturday 29 August, however we are still looking to fill a couple of remaining volunteer spots. Looking for some energy and support at our Sleaford Mere aid station from 1pm till the last 100k runner passes and also at the Greyhound Rd aid station from 12.30pm. Please reach out and let me (Troy 0456 385 112) know if you or someone you know might be interested - the runners (especially the tired 100k & 60k participants) would love to see a smiling face when they refuel and shuffle past!
