I have a new found appreciation for drone operators 😅

It looks easy - (it is if you want basic content)
BUT IT’S WAAAAYYYY HARDER than it looks (to get epic footage)

I’ll mainly be using this for commercial jobs. Only weddings when the conditions and timeline gods align!

🚨 LANGUAGE WARNING 🚨
Highly strung people will most definitely be offended 😬

POV - scouting locations for tonight’s family session in the Hunter Valley when my official “no filter” child decided to provide the entertainment.

For context, this is one of my four daughters (of course she is the second born) and if you know her, you know there is absolutely no predicting what is going to come out of her mouth next 😂

This video is a prime example.

Before anyone comes for me… I don’t “allow” my kids to swear. There are rules and boundaries, and always a time and place. My girls are respectful, kind little girls - one just happens to have a little less filter when pointing out the obvious 🤭

SWEARING RULES 101:

Private? ✔️
Nobody being insulted? ✔️
Context appropriate? ✔️
Hilarious? Unfortunately… ✔️😂
Accurate? AF ✔️

Would she have gotten out for s**ts and giggles?
SHE IS THE SECOND BORN!

Ps. I grew up in the country, surrounded by kangaroos - never in my life have I ever felt intimidated by one. But these big, juiced-up boys were absolutely giving “I’ll drown you and your dog” energy…
And there were dozens and dozens of them 😳 all looking like they had consumed more steroids than all Aussie gyms combined!

We did not get out of the car haha

When Danni messaged me to book family photos, she only had ONE request:
“I really want to update our family photos, but I want it more “us” - not just neutrals in a paddock looking pretty” 👌🏻

DONE!! I was bursting with ideas and genuinely so excited to make this session unique, while also being true to their style and personalities.

Fun facts:
- Danni and I went to school together and she has absolutely not aged - at all! The good old days when no one had social media and we basically got away with everything haha
- the last time I photographed these guys, Harlie was a newborn 🥰
- Danni & Lummo were blessed with twins second - and were brave enough to have a 4th baby (Harlie!!) Anyone with twins knows this is solid!
- these legends are as beautiful on the inside, as they are on the outside!
- I took my 360 camera and forgot to press record 😭 I’m soooooo upset with myself 😭

The “don’t assume and ALWAYS seek permission” rule came about after I asked a family member (who I thought was an uncle) to say the word “boobs” to make him smile (he was very serious and this will usually loosen most people up) - he politely said he couldn’t say it because he is a priest - I laughed it off, thinking he was winding me up - he was not. And I persisted MULTIPLE times, still thinking it was banter - it was not banter. He was a priest and I’ve never been so mortified in my life! I learned a good lesson that day, 9ish years ago 😬 (forever learning things the hard way!)

Thankfully, now I read a room much better 😅 (still working on the, think before you speak).

BUT even when my brain is screaming green light - I ALWAYS ask parents permission before going rouge 🤭
