Here are some of the faces that make Snowfest Gippsland possible.

Last night we caught up for dinner to celebrate the success of our 10th Snowfest. Ten years of snow, smiles and community spirit doesn’t happen by accident. It happens because of people. People who give their time, their energy and their talents year after year, not because they have to, but because they love this community.

In the words of Jenny Muir:

“What a special event created by a very special group of people. I’m so proud we’ve been able to continue to present an event for the community that upholds our original values. Affordable for families, inclusive for everyone and also a whole lot of fun! Thank you to every member of our team for your time, energy, special talents and friendship.”

It truly takes a village. Thank you to every single person who plays a part in bringing Snowfest to life.

Snow doesn’t just appear in the middle of Warragul. It takes a convoy.

Every year the team at Sure Constructions take the lead on coordinating the snow trucks, take an excavator up to Mt Baw Baw and bring the snow down the mountain for us. A massive thank you this year to Sure Constructions and Blackwoods for sending their trucks, and to Mt Baw Baw Resort for allowing us to take their snow, especially in a season where there hasn’t been much of it to spare.

A special mention also to McNeil Contractors and LV Sands, who volunteer every year and were on standby ready to help, and to Craig from Aus Civil for his ongoing support.

This is what makes Snowfest possible. Local businesses giving their time, their gear and their goodwill so our community gets a real winter wonderland.

Thank you Sure Constructions, Blackwoods, McNeil Contractors, LV Sands, Aus Civil and Mt Baw Baw. We couldn’t do it without you ❄️

A huge thank you to Matt Green Liberal candidate for Eastern Victoria Region, who was one of our six brave dunk tank participants on Friday night at Snowfest!

Taking the icy plunge for a great cause, Matt helped raise much needed funds for West Gippsland Hospital. We’re so grateful to everyone who lined up to take their shot.

Big shout out to Turnbull Motors Warragul Nissan + Mitsubishi for sponsoring the charity dunk tank this year. Your support makes moments like this possible.

Thank you to Victoria Police for helping patrol Snowfest this year!

Constable Alan and Constable Sandu even travelled down from Melbourne for the event, and were impressed by just how big it was and how much fun everyone was having.
