Wangi Bowling, Sport and Recreation Club

Wangi Bowling, Sport and Recreation Club Wangi Wangi Bowling Club has an active bowling community. With men's, women's or mixed bowls galas played most days and also district games.

The Club has a function centre to host meetings, events and parties with seating up to 110 guests. It has a full commercial kitchen also with 2 outdoor barbeques for self catering events. We are able to take a range of parties and events from weddings, engagements, birthdays (unfortunately not 18th or 21st), farewells, wakes and much more. Barefoot bowls can be arranged through the club with bowls and coaching to learn the game or get a group together to have some fun with your friends.

TORONTO FIRST NATIONAL FOURS TOURNAMENT
Hi all, with perfect weather and 22 teams (88 players) competing today, it was a fantastic day at our club. There were some really good games today and the top four spots on the scoreboard were hotly contested.
Thank you to all the teams who competed today obviously these tournaments rely on teams entering and participating and of course to our major sponsors Toronto First National Real Estate.
Big shout out also to WANGI IGA for your continued support and sponsorship of our club events.
Special mention to all our dedicated catering volunteers for yet another outstanding lunch which was spoken very highly of by all the players definitely keeps the teams coming back to our tournaments.
Our greens and club surrounds were outstanding and a credit to our ground staffs hard work not just for the tournament but week in week out.
Also to our professional bars staff and volunteers who did a great job keeping everyone hydrated throughout the day.
I will post photos of the day as they come to hand in the meantime here is the actual result sheet.

FIRST NATIONAL FOURS TOURNAMENT
It would be appreciated if all team members arrive to register no later than 8:30am. SKIPS please have your team $120 entry fee ready to pay at the time of registration. This ensures I can get everyone out on the green to start by 9am sharp. I will be in attendance from 7:30am.

WHATS ON AT THE BOWLO THIS WEEKEND
TODAY 3pm social roll up and bowls practice if numbers support there will be a raffle conducted please come down, support the afternoon,and enjoy this great weather.
SATURDAY 8:30am First National Fours Tournament
SUNDAY No club championship game due to our teams competing at Mount Lewis in the BPL CUP.

MAJOR SINGLES SEMIFINAL RESULTS
2 exciting games today played with great sportsmanship and camaraderie congratulations to not just the winners but all players for competing.

The final will be delayed due to BPL commitments in Sydney next Sunday we then have the long weekend so the likely date will be 12 October.
This also means the pairs will move right accordingly.

Another great afternoon at the club with 20 teams competing for the $200 prize money. Many thanks to Margaret Lawes for the post game feed which is a gold coin donation with proceeds towards the Walk For Cindy Charity.
