Wangi Community Fireworks AGM will be held on
Tuesday 29th July at 5pm.
Dobell Room at Wangi Workers Club.

We would love to see some new faces to help kick start our fund raising for our 2025 New Years Eve Fireworks Spectacular!

This is a much loved FREE event for thousands of locals and visitors.

Please come along,, see how and where your donations are spent and how you can contribute to keeping our NYE festivities the fun event it has always been.

Wangi Community Fireworks had there AGM tonight and are happy to say we have a committee to start trying to fundraiser for this year’s NYE fireworks. We are hoping to raise $30,000 so we can put on a show like last year, we will also need volunteers on NYE to help with fundraising on the night as last year we only had two volunteers available so if you can help out let us know. It’s that time of the year where we are looking for the community to support the NYE fireworks, we are seeking corporate, small business and local community donations. If you are able to help either call or deposit in the bank details every little bit helps 😀

It’s getting close to that time of the year where we will start to place our buckets out and ask our community to donate to the much loved fireworks display on New Years Eve.
For those who are new to our community we have been fortunate each year to receive donations from local businesses, community groups and families to put on a fantastic display of fireworks on NYE at 9pm, without the generous donations this event would not happen, the committee (who are all volunteers) will soon be delivering buckets to local businesses for you to make donations in the meantime if you are interested in corporate sponsorship please let us know and we will send you the relevant information.

It’s getting close 🎉 fireworks are ready for 9pm NYE if you would like to make an evening of it there is entertainment at Wangi Workers Club, Wangi RSL and Wangi Hotel. Market Street cafe will be open for dinner also I would suggest making a booking for these venues or pack your picnic rug and sit anywhere along the foreshore between the RSL and Workers Club. There will be volunteers walking around if you would like to donate towards next year (never too early to start the fundraising it doesn’t come cheap and we can only organise with generosity of the community)
There will be St Johns Ambulance set up if you need first aid and off course our local police patrolling ensuring everyone’s safety.
See you on Saturday night enjoying the festivities
