Hanging Rock Hall is one of the Northern Rivers best kept secrets. Located on 6 hectares, it is a beautiful venue for weddings and family events.

It is a beautiful reception venue for weddings and family events. The natural rock and timber building is set on 6 hectares and is available for your ceremony and celebration. The Hall exudes a wonderful aura, is a secluded haven away from distractions and with its timeless atmosphere welcomes you and your guests into a magical space. Features include:

Just three weeks until another fabulous weekend of singing at Hanging Rock hall. Set in a stunning location, our voices cradled in the warm tones of the wood and stone of the hall, we’ll share some songs, some stories, some laughs and some food and all will be right with the world!

WORK DAY UPDATE:
A quick apology and an update — we’ve had to move the workday to Saturday 31st October. Sorry for any inconvenience, especially to those who have already replied (thank you!). Same time, same jobs, just one week later.

So, an invitation to roll up your sleeves at a workday at the Hall. We haven’t had one in a while, and as always there is plenty to do:

Gardening
Cleaning
Cementing the Iron Star
Brushcutting and trimming
Installing light fittings
General maintenance
If you have the time — even an hour or two — the Hall could use some loving. Many hands make light work, and good company makes it lighter still.

Saturday 31st October, 8:30 AM – 2:00 PM

Please bring your own tools — gloves, brushcutters, tools, garden gear, whatever you’ve got. Lunch and refreshments will be provided, so come hungry and leave satisfied.

Hi Folks

A month until this year's Hanging Rock's Got Talent!

Whether you are a bagpipe player, a ballet dancer, a spoken word poet, or a rock band, come to the Hanging Rock Hall on Saturday, 14th November 2026 and demonstrate your talent for a chance to win big prize money — and this year it's even bigger. We have raised the Open Section First Prize to *** $500 ***!

Event Schedule
Junior Section (Ages 6–12): Starts at 3:00 PM
$100 First Prize | $50 Second Prize | $50 People's Choice

Open Section: Starts at 6:00 PM
$500 First Prize (up from $400!) | $100 Second Prize | $100 People's Choice

Important Rules for Performers
Limit: One act per person or group.
Duration: Maximum of 5 minutes per performance.
Availability: There are limited performance time slots. Book early to avoid disappointment — it is first-in, best-dressed!

Joining as an Audience Member?
Come along to support our incredible local community! Entry is $5 for adults, and kids get in free. Food and drinks will be available on-site from Barkers Vale School, alongside loads of encouragement and fun.
