Eurambeen is available for weddings, events, functions, retreats, photo and film location shoots plus a variety of Garden activities. Eurambeen Historic Homestead and Gardens is an Historic Landmark of Victoria’s rural heritage, built in 1850 with a three acre garden designed by Edna Walling which was commissioned when the home was extended in 1927. Originally named ‘Mt. Cole Station’, the property was taken up by the Campbell brothers who built a wooden and stone homestead on the fiery creek in 1840. When that was flooded a new Homestead was built on higher ground. The word Eurambeen is the local indigenous word for ‘on the hill’. The present homestead was begun in the late 1850′s by Francis Beggs. Francis was an expert grazier and farmed superfine merinos. Francis was married to Agnes Beggs who was previously Agnes Walpole the grand daughter of the first prime minister of England.
The present owners. Ian Glover and Sarah Beaumont purchased Eurambeen in 2012 and are in the process of restoring the homestead, gardens and out buildings. Their restoration efforts have been featured in numerous publications including RM Williams Magazine, Country Style and Country Life. Please contact us [email protected] or 0407471107
