After a washout last month we managed to arrange much better weather for our annual Junior Classic this time!

We welcomed Sandy Reid to the Club today, Sandy is the Director of Greenkeeping at St Andrews Links in Scotland. This means he oversees all 7 courses at St Andrews including the Home of Golf, The Old Course - the most famous course on earth! 🏆 Jack Coote Memorial Foursomes Championship 🏆

On the first wet Saturday of the year, Paul Lynch and Evan Wilkinson took out the 2025 Jack Coote Memorial Foursomes Honour Board event with a score of 82 gross. This was the 3rd time in 4 years Evan and Paul have been successful. Runners up were Michael Egan-Logue and David Goyder with a score of 85. The nett event winners were Steve Rayner and Chris Toleman with a net 71.5. Congrats to all winners.

For those watching the US Open from Oakmont this week our Course Superintendent, Shane Baker, is working on the greenstaff. Shane worked at Oakmont for a year or so early in his career and is always invited back in a volunteer capacity when the Open returns. Have a great week Shane 👍
