Red Tree Theatre is thrilled to officially announce the cast and creative team for Stephen Sondheim’s bold, provocative and darkly hilarious musical, ASSASSINS.

A theatrical rollercoaster filled with twisted humour, unforgettable music and chilling relevance, Assassins explores the lives of the men and women who attempted — and in some cases succeeded — in assassinating Presidents of the United States.

Directed by Daryl Kirkness, this powerful production will bring together an exceptional team of performers and creatives for one of the most daring musicals ever written.

Join us for a celebration of creativity, storytelling, comedy, drama, and performance as theatre groups from across the state compete and perform in Central Coast Theatrefest.

📅 Session 1 — Saturday 2pm
📅 Session 2 — Saturday 7pm
📅 Award Ceremony — Sunday 11am

Enjoy incredible one-act productions, original works, festival favourites, and live adjudication feedback throughout the weekend.

🍽 Meals, drinks, coffee and snacks available onsite between sessions — make a full day of it!

Then return on Sunday for the Awards Ceremony as we celebrate the standout performances, productions, and artists from the festival weekend.

There are jobs for all ability levels — from painting and cleaning to organising, gardening and backstage tasks. Whether you can stay all day or just drop in for a few hours, we’d love the extra hands.
