Snr Constable Judith Crawford has provided long and distinguished service to the Trundle District since first arriving 16 years ago. When Judith first arrived the roof of the police residence was leaking. She reported the leaks than, has kept reporting it for the last sixteen years to NSW Teacher and Police Housing and they have never been repaired. The leaks have damaged the pantry which has also been reported to NSW Teacher and Police housing. Rather than repair these two very basic issues NSW Teacher and Police housing has condemned the residence and given Judith seven days to get out while also failing to provide alternative accommodation. There is no builder’s report to back NSW Teachers and Police Housing decision. This is a very shabby way to treat such a distinguished and compassionate Police Officer. During the sixteen years Judith has reported issues to NSW Teacher and Police housing both the Tottenham and Tullamore residences have been fully renovated. It has however been impossible to get the same State Government entity to do even basic repairs to the Trundle residence. Of further concern NSW Police are also refusing to do basic repairs to the Police Station. We could easy end up with the same scenario as Bogan Gate- the Government Departments responsible let the buildings rot then close them. It will also be impossible to attract Police Officers to Trundle in the years ahead without a residence. You can show your support by signing the petitions that are around town and by emailing our State member Phil Donato on [email protected] We are also planning a community working bee to paint the outside of the residence to protest this disgraceful decision
