I am sad to report that I have decided to resign as a marriage celebrant. I have greatly enjoyed the role, but am not happy with the new regulation which requires us to interview both members of a couple separately as well as together. As I do not wish to do this I have no other option.

It gave me great pleasure to conduct the marriage of my school friend Gail to her teenage sweetheart last Saturday in Brisbane.

Easter Monday saw my first ceremony since the start of the pandemic. It was a lovely, intimate beach wedding at Hideaway Bay in the Whitsundays. A very happy day was enjoyed by all.

Did my first baby naming ceremony yesterday, for my granddaughter Penelope. It was a lovely day and the ceremony went very well.

My most recent ceremony, in early December, was an intimate family affair when my daughter Gemma married her partner Markus. There were the 3 of us, plus 2 witnesses (my husband and a friend) plus their son Bruce.
