S I X T Y 💎

Today I had the pleasure of officiating my SIXTIETH wedding ceremony (a diamond anniversary!) and it was no less exciting and heartwarming today than it was sixty weddings ago!

This picture is not just a picture to me because it reminds me of the gratitude I feel on these days - to know that a bride hand made these many metres of bunting ripped from old sheets and to know and feel the love in the quietness of that story.

I have learned so much, met so many beautiful couples and worked with lots of amazing vendors…. No two weddings are ever the same!

I have married friends, strangers and friends of friends. Seen familiar faces in the crowd … sometimes even previous couples in the crowd watching the ceremony from a different angle!

I have seen tears and cried them. Made people laugh and laughed myself. I have been in the rain, on the beach, at kitchen tables, in the bush, under the stars and watching the sun rise.

Flowers of every colour imaginable. A rainbow of dresses and suit jackets. Children, dogs, snakes, chickens, bees, horses, kangaroos and cows here and there.

I’ve smoothed over arguments, panic attacks, bow ties, disappointments, grief, boutonnières, hangovers, crinkled fabric and shaking hands.

Blood, sweat, tears and everything in between. Oh my heart, what an adventure it has been. ❤️

Isaac 🤎 Georgia

Another one of my favourites from 2025! Georgia and Isaac, are both fans of Harry Potter, so it was fitting to offer a little Dumbledore wisdom to them both in the final moments before they become husband and wife - Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light. ✨

Friends, may your future be fill of wide-open spaces of land to call your own, to fill with pets and four-wheelers and a wrap around porch to drink coffee and grow old together in the safest and laughter-filled place on earth.

After a VERY busy 2025 wedding season and lots of changes in my personal and professional life, I wasn’t sure when, or IF, I would be able to open bookings for 2026. As many of you know, I have a young family and a full time professional career… but looking back as the dust settles at the beautiful couples and ceremonies I have had the privilege to celebrate, it’s impossible for me to step back too far from this beautiful, crazy ride that we are on together. I would simply miss the laughs and the love far too much. 🥰

Words like this just have me absolutely beaming, buzzing, bouncing and bumbling through my hectic wedding seasons! ❤️‍🔥 One of my favourite weddings from 2025 - surprise ring bearers, surprise witnesses, big laughs and puppy cameo appearances…. And of course the absolutely hilarious and delightful & Quentin Bright! 🫶

Jared 🤍 Shai

A beautiful capture from the archives coming back for their first anniversary!

2018 was an excellent year. Russia hosted the Football World Cup, Prince Harry married Meghan Markle, Kanye West met Donald Trump at the White House… and Jared and Shai finally started dating after having met 13 years earlier when Shai attended her brother’s soccer carnivals withher parents when they were just kids.

In 2016, they reconnected at the Heritage Bar. Jared was working as a bartender and, after serving her that night, smoothly added Shai on Facebook despite the fact she ordered rum and cokes which he knew was a red flag right off the bat. 🚩

Shai moved to Cairns for work for a while and just when it looked like the stars would never align for Shai and Jared despite being in each other’s orbit for years… a chance encounter at the Magnetic Island Full Moon Party finally led them to exchange numbers.

Jared thought he had his approach straight, only to fumble it completely when trying to deliver a smooth introduction. It must have been bad because it took Shai six weeks to
reply to the text he sent the next date, but when she did they finally set a first date.

Like I said, 2018 was an excellent year.

Being a celebrant means becoming part of the fabric of so many love stories in some small way, and for me there is always a special fondness when I think about all the couples I’ve married over the years, and I still remember all the stories about how they met and why they fell in love….. Hello 2025! ❤️👋

What a crazy year 2024 turned out to be! Soooo many beautiful couples, so many magical days, so many amazing vendors…. I can’t possibly pick favourites from last year!

I’ve been offline having some downtime and focusing on family for the last few months so if I missed your emails or replied late I’m so sorry!

I’m now back on deck so keep your eyes peeled for….

Nathan 🩵 Emma

Nathan and Emma say that they have three good months together and three bad months together, as they navigate their way through different swings at the mines. When it works well they enjoy their time together and make the most of shedding the hi-vis for chilling on the couch watching Stranger Things, with Nathan encouraging Emma to try new foods and Nathan trying to hold himself back from spontaneous spending and hyping up their Pomeranian. They bring out the best in one another with their differences and together can take on the world. 💪

Nathan and Emma – in 50 years when you’re sitting looking at your grandkids, on the block of land you bought together when you were young to raise your family on – I hope you are filled with the memories of all the amazing international travel you did, the beautiful children you raised and the amazing life you lived together. But for now, all of that is still to come. ❤️
