It's been a whirlwind few wedding weeks, filled with love, laughter and 'I do's'! Now that I can take a breather, I am excited to look back and share some beautiful moments I've had the joy to be part of. From intimate elopements under the trees, to bi joy-filled celebrations and heartfelt backyard vows; each love story has been unique, genuine and completely unforgettable. Feeling grateful to have witnessed so many incredible couples begin their next chapters.

Are you planning a function? Would you like to have it somewhere a bit special? The Drill Hall has a wonderful old world charm, and just enough ‘rustic’ to make it interesting. We can host your special event – from a wedding in the Sculpture Garden, to an intimate meeting in the Armory function room.

Our garden will comfortably seat over 100 guests, if you choose a formal seating arrangement, or many more for a cocktail style informal event. The cool sea breezes are a bonus, as is the festoon lighting and use of our bar. And if your guests want to party on, we are just a stone’s throw from the party district of the city.

✨ 20 Years of Celebrating Love & Life ✨

Today I’m taking a moment to pause and reflect – because it’s not every day you celebrate 20 years as a Celebrant. What an incredible milestone this feels like.

Two decades ago, I began this journey with a simple desire: to create meaningful, heartfelt ceremonies that truly reflected the people at the centre of them. I could never have imagined just how much joy, love, laughter (and yes, tears) I would witness along the way.

In that time, I’ve had the privilege of being part of over 1,000 love stories, commitments, and name days, and the honour of officiating more than 400 celebrations of life. Each and every one has been unique, moving, and unforgettable – because behind every ceremony is a story, and every story matters.

What humbles me most is the trust people place in me to stand beside them during life’s biggest moments – whether it’s the excitement of saying “I do,” the tenderness of welcoming a new life, or the quiet strength of saying farewell to a loved one. These are sacred moments, and to be invited in is a gift I never take for granted.

I can honestly say I love what I do – and how lucky am I to have a role where “work” means celebrating love, honouring life, and connecting with the most incredible people and families.

So today I raise a glass – to 20 years of memories, to the couples and families who have let me walk alongside them, and to the many more chapters still to come. 🥂💖

Wedding season is in full swing and life has been beautifully busy! From elopements on the beach, to grand celebrations under the majestic rain trees of Anderson Gardens, to the ever-loved Queens Gardens... every moment is unique, every love story is magical. And it's not just weddings, I've also had the joy of celebrating a naming ceremony, honouring those precious milestones that bring us closer together.
