Last weeks to view the “Kinross Insiders” exhibition featuring works by our volunteers, studio artists and residents.
Artwork by Angela Abbott, Val Parker, Margot Yeomans, Arana Kennedy, Margaret Christianson, Robin Stuart, James Widdowson, Kate Spencer, Adelle Merrel, Anne Page and Lynne Kells.
Come in out of the cold and view some stunning art and visit our wonderful (new) Cafe.603. Which is open 7.30-3.30 Mon - Fri and Sundays 8-2.

Our next exhibition at Kinross Arts Centre features art from our Volunteers, Studio tenants and building residents.

Artists: Angela Abbott; Arana Kennedy; Adelle Merrel; Anne Moon (Page, Sinclair); Lynne Kells; Margaret Christianson; Val Parker; Margot Yeomans; Robin Stewart; James Widdowson; and Kate Spencer.

Coinciding with this wonderful exhibition is an Open House on Saturday 17 June between 10am-3pm. This is an opportunity to view all the studios, learn about the history of the magnificent Arts and Crafts style building, meet the artists and indulge in a scrummy Devonshire tea at Cafe.603 our new fabulous Cafe with delicious food and coffee, takeaway nibbles including chilli oils, port soaked figs………all made by Angela and Chris.

Hi, we are in need of volunteers to fill Monday afternoon, Wednesdays, Thursday mornings and Fridays. Winter brings many challenges with winter holidays, health issues etc. We would love some Gallery volunteers. Are you someone who interested in art, who love striking conversations with visitors?
We are happy for you to do art or craftwork (in a limited amount of space, that can be put down easily while you show volunteers around our gallery spaces) while you are on duty.
We are on public transport, limited on site parking as there are a lot of other people visiting, a Kindergarten and Aged care Day centre on site.

Do you have some hours to spare and an interest in art? Gallery sitters who meet and greet our visitors, assist artists, help our Director with the administrative needs of managing exhibitions and events are needed at Kinross Arts Centre in Toorak.
We value our volunteer's assistance - it helps maintain our ambience, provides information on artists and art (info supplied) to visitors and assists in providing a better artist and visitor experience.

A great way to learn about the art world, build a resume, gain experience in a art/hospitality field.
We don't even mind if you bring (clean) art or craft, a book, admin/computer work to do in quiet moments. Of course if you have administration, IT, promotional or writing skills you are willing to share, we would love it.
We are located on the #58 Tram line and there is limited parking on site

We ask for 3 hour blocks of time either from 10am or 12.30pm Monday to Friday. Occasionally the gallery is open for weekend or evening event eg exhibition launch.

Our exhibition "Lamentations" by Anne Riggs is open all weekend. If you'd like to hear Anne speak about the important work she does, using art for soothing and strengthening, come and be part of her Artist Talk this Monday, at 11 am. Spots are limited.

Kinross Insiders is our next exhibition at Kinross Arts Centre - you will get to see and meet the artists associated with Kinross Arts Centre - our studio tenants and volunteers. June 13 - July 14.
Kinross Arts Centre will also be open to the public on Saturday June 17th. Meet and Greet the artists and tours of the house are at 1.00pm.
Our fabulous homey new Cafe.603 at the Manse is now open and will be serving Devonshire teas and other deliciousness between 9am - 3pm on the Open Day.

"Silk and Feathers

Claire Billson Exhibition

5 – 23 September.

Londoner Claire Billson’s exhibition, Silk and Feathers, is inspired by her years of living and travelling in South East Asia and Australia. The self-taught artist delights in depicting the play of light and shadow, reflection and tonality -- all through luxuriant silks and textured surfaces. The textural components of her oil paintings reference diverse subjects, and allow her to create a palpable sense of materiality through layers."

Don't miss "Bloom-nothing but flowers" artworks created by 52 artists of Melbourne and Victoria (MAVA Inc) on until 26th August. There is truly an artwork to suit all tastes (and decor).
our friendly tenant florist has enhanced the gallery with stunning floral arrangements.

Monday to Friday 10am -3pm and also Saturday August 13 & 20, 10am-2pm.
Manse Cafe will be open 8am-3pm Monday to Friday.
For those that don't drive Kinross Arts Centre at 603 Toorak Rd Toorak, is on #58 Tram with stop #136 right out the front.

Mava Collective will be holding two fun Floral Drawing Workshops on Tuesdays 16 & 23 from 10.30am to 12.30pm $25/person. All materials provided and one lucky person will take home a bouquet by each workshop. Bookings and enquiries ph 9829 0340.
