I am so excited to be able to take part in your happiest of days. Whether you are getting married, renewing your vows or celebrating a new addition to your family, I can help you create a ceremony that is exactly how you imagined it. Most importantly, a ceremony that will be forever remembered. With a passion for writing and an eye for detail, I can be as involved as you like when it comes to writ

ing your ceremony. I love thinking outside the box, but have a great deal of respect for the traditional approach as well. As a registered Marriage Celebrant it's my job to make sure any legalities are taken care of, while at the same time bringing your ideas and dreams to life. Any questions you may have, ranging from the legal aspects of a wedding ceremony to finding a good florist, I will do my best to answer. Along with my own knowledge I have a wealth of resources available, suited to all needs. It's important that you are comfortable with the person you choose as your celebrant as they are with you during a very significant time in your life. I'm more than happy to meet with you to make sure that I am the right fit for your celebration, or we can talk via phone or email if that is more suitable. I am available to talk:
9am to 8pm Monday to Friday.
10am and 5pm Saturday and Sunday. Please leave a voice mail if I don't answer straight away and I will get back to you as soon as I can. I look forward to hearing from you soon, happy planning in the meantime!

25 YEARS IN THE MAKING

Yesterday was a very cute, life affirming day.

Matt and Andrew have already been together longer than a lot of marriages last. They took the leap yesterday and confirmed that they truly are each other's chosen family and one and only with a sweet little legals only ceremony at home, dogs and besties as their witnesses. While there were only 5 of us there (7 if you count their greyhounds, which I quietly do) there was enough emotion in their perfect little inner west backyard to fill a cathedral. Thank you, Andrew and Matt, for finally letting me get you two hitched - I'll be carrying this love around with me for a while.

Just for some personal context - Matt and I met through volunteer work for It's how I met his partner Andrew as well, I did the home visit to place a big ol' noodle horse with them so many moons ago. Life became too busy for me to continue my volunteer work, but Matt has kept it up for over a decade, he's just a gem like that. Rescue people are a special kind of people, we're forever trauma bonded. And now Matt, Andrew and I are married! Well, my signatures are on their certificate at least 💅

TIS THE SEASON

For me to remind you that I have not disappeared from the face of the earth!

I hope you are all safe, happy and having the time you want/need to have.

Thank you to everyone who allowed me into their lives this year. From scrambling over rocks to find some peace from the cicadas, to lush love festivals in rambling gardens, to paperwork signed over kitchen tables - as always the ceremonies I have been a part of have been personal, jubilant and oh so human.

I can't wait to marry all my people next year!

But first - some time in NZ with my fam, where hopefully the cicadas are a little less shouty. Back on Jan 28th.

Also, this is peak engagement season. To all those new couples out there excited to become officially each other's chosen family - I am one of over 9000 registered celebrants in Australia who is so keen to marry you.

Some quick faqs: I've been in the game for over 10 years, I do an average of 80 weddings a year, I'm all about community and connection.
I'm a massive fan of elopements in particular and have some excellent spots in the Blue Mountains up my sleeve, along with the bestest of the best vendor buddies to recommend.
I like lots of things - gardens, champagne, drinking champagne in gardens. My dog. Tie dye. My friends. There are lots of other things, but we can talk about them when we chat!

WAKE UP BABE - A NEW PACKAGE JUST DROPPED

By popular demand I have put together a little something for the true elopers out there.

It's called Love Me Do and it's cute as heck. When you want a little something more than just the legal wording but not a full blown story. An opportunity to hear all of the gorgeous, golden parts of your relationship reflected back at you, not a dating timeline. A conversation like, 10-15 min ceremony that sets the tone for your marriage - full of your hopes and dreams for the future and all of the things you love most about each other.

This package was put together with the genuine elopements in mind - when it's just the two of you in an incredible setting. It works for a tiny, tiny number of guests as well, but due to it's very personal nature I don't recommend this for larger weddings as the spell is cast most effectively when it's just us.

It's not on my website yet - but it's available to book for $850. A step up from your legals only, it's proving to be a very good time. Contact me for more intel!

No hidden fees here my loves! Transparency is key. I'm also very adamant that any budget can have a piece of me - hence the multiple choice package journey above. All of my ceremonies come with warmth, connection and my wealth of knowledge and experience included. I want everyone to be able to have the wedding they deserve - a really, really good one.

WHAT MAKES YOU HAPPY?

Is it a place? A person?
Do you have a happy dance when you eat?
Is it good wine? A sunset?
Do you have favourite textures to wear? A scent that reminds you of a certain time and place that makes your heart sing?
Do you love to move your body?
Is it lazy mornings? Late dinners? Long lunches?
Do you dream of jasmine or the deep lush scent of roses?
Maybe it's the smell of eucalyptus trees or fresh cut grass or the ocean?
Is it comfy shoes and an early night? Is it the empowerment that comes from feeling your fanciest? Is it long chats or quiet time or books or bugs or muscle cars?
What makes you happy?

Imagine if there was a day where we could gather all of our favourite people and things around us just for the joy of it. A day that was set aside solely for the purpose of celebrating love, connection and the power of human relationships. A day that wasn't governed by trends or competition or expectation, but instead by the things that spark unadulterated glee within us.

✨️ Guess what? THERE IS!! It's your wedding day. It looks like whatever your list of happy things looks like ✨️

Me? I'm at my happiest when I'm playing my dog Penny's butt like it's a drum, and so is she. So if I was planning my wedding again, she would be in it. In fact, maybe it would just be greyhounds. Greyhounds, a s**t ton of champagne and a lamb on the spit. Done!

Being told to follow your heart sounds idealist, but ultimately if your heart says backyard bbq in your home clothes then quite frankly that is what you need to be doing. Same as if it said elope in Greece or play Metallica for your first dance. It's time to love yourselves for exactly who you are and then manifest this love on your wedding days, my loves. Also, Penny says touch more dog butts plz (in a good way)💕

Sitting here, avoiding my accounting admin, I'm wondering what you'd like to see on your insta feed today that would also get my message across at the same time.

Feels like a little fact that could come in handy on trivia night coupled with a snap by the legends that are is the right way to go! Doing my thing at the magic

FYI:
💕 My prices have had a little increase.
💕 I've got a new package called "Love Me Do" which is specifically for my elopement couples. It's $750 and it's a really lovely time.
💕 I'm working on a co-hosting package to better support my couples who want to entrust a loved one with their story and have me there to do the legal deed. This is an ongoing and growing trend over in AWNIL headquarters and I'm here for it.

Some trends I've been seeing that might resonate with you:
💕 Micro weddings are here to stay (we've known this for a while)
💕 Genuine elopements (ie just the couple and 2 witnesses) are growing (and glorious)
💕 There is so much more equity coming through in the planning side of things ie both parties to marriage are involved in the comms and more men in cis/het relationships are taking the planning reins
💕 The fall in guest numbers hasn't lessened the warmth and jubilation of wedding days - in fact it enhances it.

Some AWNIL happenings:
💌 Elopements and micro-weddings are in for the long term - I married a stack of people on Lincoln's Rock and Landslide Lookout last year. I mean, a STACK. Tiny, tiny weddings but all so bloody lovely.

💌 My big weddings have been absolute stunners. The perfect mix of riotous colour, garden party vibes vs classic, endlessly elegant, monochromatic ones; inner city disco raves vs country rambles; celebrations of two families already melded into one vs communities coming together for the first time for a common goal (love). Just so nice.

💌 I have an excellent new meeting venue for my fellow out-westies now
I've been having planning meetings there for a few months now and it doesn't disappoint, ever.
It also happens to be a hot new wedding venue too
Inner-westies/city kids still get to revel in Camperdown goodness for our catch ups - my home away from home for one Sunday a month!

💌 Plenty in the works, as per usual. I'm not happy if this heart-biz isn't ever evolving - and I'm pretty happy. Work-life, family-life and Victoria-life are all being juggled. Lots of tears shed over world events, lots of joy found in small, intentional interactions with people in real life to help balance it all out.

I'm here for you! Always. I hope you all realise - and actively acknowledge - that you're doing the best you can 💕
