Two years ago I bought a ticket to see a touring show called the Gazillion Bubble Show. I was a little bit embarrassed because I was the only adult there without an accompanying child. Once the lights went down I sat back and enjoyed a high energy show full of spectacular bubble art and antics. One thing was certain “kids LOVE bubbles” and so did the adults. I decided right there and then that I w
ould design my own bubble show. I spent 6 months researching
bubbles, there is a lot to learn and it can get very scientific mixing bubble juice and I slowly put together a show. The Gazillion Bubble Show is very messy, litre and litres of bubble juice all over the floor and the show was not very interactive. My mission was to create a ‘no mess’ show that can be performed in a school classroom that is ‘very’ interactive. My house became a science lab and a rather messy one with bubble equipment spread from one end to the other. I tried so many different ideas, keeping in mind my ‘no mess’ mission. Persistence paid off and I finally had a show that I liked. I contacted a shopping centre and they kindly allowed me to perform 4 shows. I had a big audience of school kids and I learnt lots of lessons. I reviewed and refined the show and then sent some information to various vacation care centres. I was shocked, but in a good way, because I got 50 bookings spread out over several months. I have to say I am very happy with both of my bubble options, the show and the workshop. I have had fabulous reviews and feedback and just like the gazillion Bubble Show, the kids LOVE it…and so do the teachers.
