We have finally wound down from the huge 2 weeks that have just passed and feel it’s time to express our gratitude to everyone who got involved this year. Here’s a post to summarise what was Paradox 2021. It may be a lengthy one but please read it if you can spare the time.
Firstly, here’s a brief back story from the past 2 or so years for those who aren’t already aware… We started planning for this event late in 2019, and it was supposed to take place on the Easter long weekend of 2020. Unfortunately 3 weeks out from our date of commencement, COVID reached our shores and we had to postpone indefinitely. After multiple attempts of setting a new date for Paradox, another lockdown would take place and cause us to postpone again and again. We had invested so much time into Paradox already and there was no chance we were giving up so back to the drawing board we went. We finally settled on the decision of the June long weekend in 2021.
Fast forward to the weeks leading up to Paradox 2021… Melbourne went into lockdown which resulted in some cancellations of Artists on the lineup. We were concerned that COVID would screw NSW once again and threaten our chances of being able to go ahead, but we remained optimistic and we were lucky enough to avoid another lockdown and secure some more amazing acts for the lineup (how bout that cheeky Freedom Fighters surprise on Sunday).
During setup we battled heavy rain, wind, negative temperates and even a snowy day which made for a tough week on site but despite all of the challenges, we learned so many valuable lessons which bound our crew closer together.
We are still somewhat in disbelief that we finally got to see our event come into fruition after what seemed like an endless amount of hurdles and obstacles thrown our way. When the event started we were overwhelmed with the feedback we were getting from everyone and we were reminded why we loved doing the thing we do! Paradox had finally came to light once again!

To the artists who came and tore our stage to shreds. You are all very professional and it’s wicked to know we have such overwhelming talent in Aus!

We also want to thank all of the attendees who came along this year and supported our event! The whole crowd was wonderful and generally respectful overall. You all kept the dance floor full throughout the entire duration of the party, everyone seemed to be looking out for each other and everyone was generally respectful to the land we were on.
We were very pleased with how everything turned out this year. All things ran smoothly when the party kicked off, everyone who came along for the experience were wonderful, production exceeded our expectations and we finished Paradox on a positive note. We hope everyone enjoyed themselves as much as we did.
