We have recently undergone some major renovations to our beloved old hall and we are seeking public opinion and support on how these improvements and upgrades have made to the comfort of the patrons and the efficiency of the catering.
The upgrades include a brand new kitchen and insulation in the main hall
( yay!! 🥵 🥶) plus a shower and disabled toilet in the amenities block.

🔘 CRASHED HELICOPTER LOCATED

Police have located a crashed helicopter in remote terrain in the state’s northwest.

Just after 8pm yesterday (Friday 13 March 2026), officers attached to New England Police District received a report of an overdue helicopter that had left the Gold Coast about 9am, bound for Mudgee; however, did not arrive.

Inquiries reveal the helicopter may have been seen flying over Cataract National Park, Boorook, about 55km north-east of Tenterfield, about 5:30pm the same day.

A search commenced; however, was suspended due to poor visibility and weather conditions.

Just before 2pm today, officers from Richmond Police District and other specialist resources located the wreckage of a helicopter in dense bushland north of the Drake township.

An investigation into the cause of the crash will be undertaken by the Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB).

Due to the remote location, police will return to the scene tomorrow to conduct further investigations.
