All fine wedding establishments must always have an excellent bar.

A talking point, fine service and a generous supply of cold drinks :)

Naturally, a historic venue should lean into the old ways to keep drinks cool..... such as a clawfoot bath piled with ice for example!

(Naturally, modern refrigeration is also required 😅, just to be clear there....)

A cocktail slushie machine is also available for those cooling post ceremony cocktails. Margherita's anyone??

No one really knows why The Temple's full name is "The Temple of the Stork" as there is no evidence of anything stork like at all! But what we do know is that it makes a fantastic whimsical setting for wedding portrait photos :)

Rogue wedding guests??

Our local kookaburras love a Tanilba House wedding....

They are a particular wedding nuisance... They see guests arrive and know that its only a matter of time before the grazing platters arrive in the Garden Cocktail Room....
Here they hover patiently on the roof or tree branches waiting for the chance to pounce on an unsupervised and unsuspecting piece of prosciutto only to bash it against the tree to double check that it is indeed ready for consumption!

Yesterday we hosted our annual Mothers Day High Tea and it was a fabulous day!

A huge thank you to everyone who attended. We loved hosting you all and we hope you thoroughly enjoyed your time with us :)

Of course, as is customary we have photos of almost all of you attached. I did miss a couple of tables as there were missing guests when i did the photos, so apologies to those tables.

This year we had some extra special guests with Glenn's mum and sister coming along 🥰

We were delighted to have so many people interested in the history of the house too.

Special thanks to our incredible chef Amanda Douglass Catering Services and her team who make all our amazing high tea food 😋😋

Happy Mothers Day to all for today and we hope to see you again next year!
