I would like to thank everyone who has supported the events I have put on this year. The Dark Seeds as part of Fringe Mount Gambier . Catherine Britt and her two shows for the year at Mt. Gambier Bowls Club and at the Kalangadoo Hotel . Close 2 Home Festival was a very special event raising money for mental health in the Limestone Coast
And finally with the Mount Gambier Gift. I have enjoyed all the challenges that go with running your own business and so excited for 2023. Watch this space. Wishing everyone a Happy New year spend time with you loved ones and look after yourself.

Fresh from a tour of the US to Kalangadoo

From a recent US tour to the town of Kalangadoo, Australian Country singer Catherine Britt brought her Bush Pubs Tour to the Kalangadoo Hotel on November 12th. As well as locals, people came from far and wide to support the event, - Casterton, Edenhope, Portland, Mount Gambier through to Beachport and Lucindale with many taking advantage of the free camping options at the new RV Campsite behind the Kalangadoo Hotel. They were not disappointed. With the pub filling up fast, beers flowing and amazing food to keep everyone satisfied, the music started.

Local act, Gruesome Twosome entertained the 200 strong crowd with a range of rock classics before Catherine Britt and her full band came out to loud applause. After returning from a recent 22 city tour of the US, Catherine showcased her new album “Home Truths”, along with plenty of songs from across her career.

Event organiser’s Natasha Little from Five Little Events and Kalangadoo Hotel Licensee’s Sean & Deb Docherty were thrilled to bring this show to a classic Bush Pub. Natasha commented that, “local’s told me that they hadn’t seen the pub this packed in years and this is how live music can support small communities like Kalangadoo.”

Sean said, “It was a great night, the Hotel was packed with a great atmosphere for a night of singing, and dancing.” A lot of people felt emotional when Catherine and local singer, Trevor “Gilly” Gill from support act, Gruesome Twosome sang Catherine’s song about cancer”.

Catherine commented “what an awesome venue and show, there were some great moments and I have met some amazing people.” Catherine is now preparing for further shows around the country in the lead up to the 2023 Tamworth Country Music Festival in January.

Another event done. Catherine Britt and her Bush Pubs Tour at Kalangadoo Hotel . Great night. The pub was packed. Food was amazing. Time to continue planning next event only two weeks away.
