Candice’s 50th Birthday | Olive Green Botanical Verde

The art of styling is knowing how to bring individual elements together to create something beautiful, without overwhelming the space.

For Candice’s 50th, we focused on refined simplicity, thoughtful layering and the balance between structure, softness and botanical texture.

Our largest European Framed Backdrop in gloss white provided a strong architectural foundation. Olive green fabric was introduced through soft, Baroque-inspired draping, creating movement and contrast against the clean white framework. An elegant ‘Fifty’ decal completed the backdrop, allowing the design to remain sophisticated without unnecessary embellishment.

Cascading hydrangeas in rich olive and fresh lime green added depth and organic movement, softening the structured backdrop while reinforcing the botanical colour palette.

Across the tables, taupe-beige satin was carefully gathered, pinched and draped, creating sculptural folds that flowed naturally from front to back. The subtle sheen of the fabric introduced another layer of texture without competing with the overall design.

Minimalist white metal stem vases, paired with striped orchids and sculptural green anthuriums, brought height, clean lines and a contemporary botanical element to the tables.

What makes this styling work is the relationship between each element. The contrast of structured and flowing forms, the repetition of complementary green tones, and the balance between statement pieces and negative space.

Not everything needs to be overdone to make an impact.

Sometimes, the most memorable styling comes from restraint, thoughtful placement and allowing each carefully chosen element the space to shine.

THE FLORAL BRIEF The floral brief for supercar storage was never simply “ add flowers”.
Our creative direction was to transform a cold, empty industrial Warehouse into an elevated luxury man cave, creating an environment sophisticated enough to sit alongside an extra extraordinary collection of exotic vehicles.
The styling began with a deliberately layered material palette. Structured faux leather, satin finishes, chrome, mirror and black establish the masculine foundation, while dramatic deep Merlot accents introduced warmth richness throughout the space.
Touches of gold wearing intentionally woven throughout, breaking up the darker and reflective finishes and creating an eclectic, collected sense of masculine luxury rather than an overly matched environment.
From there, Tish Pagano was trusted with the floral styling and installation, with a very specific brief: Masculine- sculptural- architectural - dramatic. Traditional rounded arrangement weren’t going to work within this environment. We wanted height, structure, strong lines, a symmetry and negative space, drawing on formal – linear and IKEBANA – inspired principles to create floral installations that felt more like sculptural pieces within the space. Chrome, black and reflective elements, balanced with dramatic Merlot tones, considered foliage and strong floral forms.
They had to stand out confidently amongst faux leather, statement furniture and an extraordinary collection of exotic vehicles. We at Piece Of Cake Events are incredibly fortunate to have Tish Pagano work along side us from the initial brief to ex*****on and install.
