**Laura Ashcroft wanted a reception dress that felt luxe, festive and effortlessly fun — and we knew immediately what we envisioned. ✨**

A delicate combination of feather and embroidered tulle, finished with understated embellishment, came together in a classic sweetheart neckline and elegant V waistline. The full-circle mini skirt, lined in silk organza, gave the dress just the right amount of movement — and was perfect for the tropical warmth of her destination wedding.

The brief was to create something that felt **special, celebratory and entirely Laura**… and we think these images say it all. 🤍

A couple of years ago, I was at the Bunya Productions Christmas party at The Bearded Tit.
As I was heading out, I stopped to say goodbye to my hosts, who happened to be chatting with Bryan Brown and Sir Sam Neill.
In classic larrikin style, Bryan reached out his hand and introduced himself—and his mate Sam. (Um... I know who you are!!)
We got chatting, and Bryan kindly offered to shout me a b**r. My reply?
“Sorry, I have to go... my mate Tracey’s got a lamb roast waiting!”
Honest to goodness, it’s true—I gave up a b**r with Bryan Brown and Sir Sam Neill for a lamb roast!
Looking back, I wouldn’t change a thing. How lucky am I to have a story like that, and to have had the privilege of meeting two genuine legends. It’s one of those wonderfully Australian moments I’ll always treasure.
Rest in peace, Sir Sam Neill. Thank you for the extraordinary body of work, the quiet grace, and the joy you brought to audiences around the world. You’ll be deeply missed.

For the Tour de Cure Melbourne Autumn Ball, Renata H wore a bespoke Collezione Santina Couture evening gown, handcrafted from an exquisite Indian silk sari fabric, thoughtfully reimagined through the lens of Italian craftsmanship and contemporary couture.
The design features a dramatic plunging V-neckline at both the front and back, a beautifully sculpted fitted bodice, a defined wide waistband and a voluminous gathered skirt that creates graceful movement with every step. A harmonious fusion where the richness of Eastern textiles meets the precision of Italian tailoring.
This meeting of cultures has become a signature brief we have embraced many times over the years—bringing together exceptional textiles, traditional craftsmanship and modern couture to create gowns that are entirely unique to each woman who wears them.
Renata is an extraordinary Australian whose achievements extend far beyond the black carpet. As the first female Tank Commander in the Australian Army, a dedicated Tour de Cure rider and volunteer, and an advocate for Run Army and the Indigenous Literacy Foundation, she continues to inspire through leadership, resilience and service to the community.
It was an honour to dress such a remarkable woman for an evening dedicated to raising vital funds for cancer research.
