A couple of years ago, I was at the Bunya Productions Christmas party at The Bearded Tit.
As I was heading out, I stopped to say goodbye to my hosts, who happened to be chatting with Bryan Brown and Sir Sam Neill.
In classic larrikin style, Bryan reached out his hand and introduced himself—and his mate Sam. (Um... I know who you are!!)
We got chatting, and Bryan kindly offered to shout me a beer. My reply?
“Sorry, I have to go... my mate Tracey’s got a lamb roast waiting!”
Honest to goodness, it’s true—I gave up a beer with Bryan Brown and Sir Sam Neill for a lamb roast!
Looking back, I wouldn’t change a thing. How lucky am I to have a story like that, and to have had the privilege of meeting two genuine legends. It’s one of those wonderfully Australian moments I’ll always treasure.
Rest in peace, Sir Sam Neill. Thank you for the extraordinary body of work, the quiet grace, and the joy you brought to audiences around the world. You’ll be deeply missed.

For the Tour de Cure Melbourne Autumn Ball, Renata H wore a bespoke Collezione Santina Couture evening gown, handcrafted from an exquisite Indian silk sari fabric, thoughtfully reimagined through the lens of Italian craftsmanship and contemporary couture.
The design features a dramatic plunging V-neckline at both the front and back, a beautifully sculpted fitted bodice, a defined wide waistband and a voluminous gathered skirt that creates graceful movement with every step. A harmonious fusion where the richness of Eastern textiles meets the precision of Italian tailoring.

For the 11th consecutive year, our stunning ambassador Dominique Robinson AO chose custom Collezione Santina Couture for a Tour de Cure Gala event, continuing a beautiful tradition of elegance, philanthropy, and timeless Australian couture.
For Saturday evening's enchanting Snow Ball Gala, Dominique wore a bespoke floor-length gown crafted from luxurious Antique Gold Italian Silk Brocade. Featuring a sophisticated square neckline, elegant 3/4 puff sleeves, and a dramatic bow and trailing back detail, the design was created to celebrate both femininity and grandeur.
The striking neckline provided the perfect stage for Dominique's exquisite emerald and diamond pendant, complemented by matching drop earrings, creating a look that radiated refined glamour from every angle.
Inspired by the evening's whimsical "Down the Rabbit Hole" theme, the gown subtly captured the magic of an enchanted Alice in Wonderland garden, blending couture craftsmanship with storytelling and sophistication.

✨ Tour de Cure Snow Ball 2026 ✨
An unforgettable evening at the Tour de Cure Snow Ball 2026 – Alice in Wonderland Edition held at ICC Sydney, where more than 1,000 of Sydney’s business leaders, philanthropists, celebrities and social community came together to support the life-changing work of Tour de Cure, led by the inspiring Dominique Robinson AO.
The night achieved a remarkable milestone, raising a record-breaking $2,750,000 to fund vital cancer research, support programs and preventative health initiatives across Australia.
We were honoured to hear from Hon. Ryan Park MP, NSW Minister for Health, who shared the ongoing support of the NSW Government and announced a generous $20,000 donation on behalf of the people of New South Wales.
The evening was brilliantly hosted and supported by an incredible line-up including Mark Beretta AO, Edwina Bartholomew, Colin & Jane Fassnidge, Angela Cox, Natarsha Belling, alongside entertainment from Hans the German, Harlan Goode and Couture Air.
From decadent caviar bumps and world-class Maybe Sammy cocktails, to live auctions, silent auctions and generous cash pledges, the generosity throughout the room was extraordinary.
We were delighted to see so many Collezione Santina Couture clients admired throughout the ballroom, and thrilled that one fortunate silent auction bidder claimed our $2,500 Collezione Santina Couture Gift Voucher, proudly donated as part of our continued support of Tour de Cure since 2016.
A heartfelt thank you to every donor, supporter, volunteer and guest. Your generosity continues to make a meaningful difference in the lives of Australians affected by cancer. Together, we are helping create a future without cancer.
