Gratitude and Generosity: Desi Food Raises $9,500 for Bangladesh Flood Movement

Desi Food, located at 72 Haldon Street, Lakemba, expresses deep gratitude for the incredible generosity shown by our community. On Tuesday, September 3, 2024, in partnership with the Australian-registered charity Dollar A Day, we held the “Flood Donation Movement for Bangladesh,” dedicating 100% of our sales to help the victims of the devastating floods.

We were honored to welcome Md Shakhawat Hossain, Consul General of the Bangladesh Consulate Office in Sydney, and many respected community members. Thanks to the support of our patrons, we raised AUD 9,495.85. These funds will be used to provide vital aid to those most affected, through Dollar A Day.

This act of unity and kindness has brought our community closer and made a lasting impact on those in need. Thank you to everyone who contributed—your generosity will never be forgotten.
