Goodbye Mum 🙏🏻
You was given more pain than any human should ever carry.
Again and again, life hurt you, and she still stood back up.
You survived things that would have broken most people.
But this time was different.
This pain didn’t ease.
It didn’t give you rest.
You were exhausted.
Your body was tired.
Your spirit was tired.
It stole your strength.
It stole your sleep.
It stole your spirit
We watched the strongest woman we know become helpless.
She did not give up, she was defeated.
Mum, you deserved comfort, not suffering.
You deserved peace, not agony.
Mum, you were our best friend.
Our safe place.
Our mother.
Our guide.
We will miss our long phone calls, our outings, our talks about nothing and everything.
I don’t know how we will live without you, but you raised us to be brave, so we will try, even though our hearts are shattered.
Nothing compares to the love we have for you.
Nothing ever will.
Goodbye Mum.
