We were blessed to once again bring community, culture, and education together in a location that holds special meaning for our family.

The Parramatta School Diocese RAP Launch was a significant gathering, and Jie’s cultural ceremony set a powerful tone for the day. From the moment the space was activated, all who attended were invited to pause, be present, and reflect deeply, not only on the qualities, experiences, and connections that shape who they are, but also on the ancestors and stories that came before them.

Jie holds a unique gift. He has an ability to connect with people in a way that feels both safe and profound. His purpose is clear: to help others feel a deep sense of connection to the Country they are standing on, and to invite them into a moment of stillness and gratitude.

Each ceremony is more than an event, it’s a life-changing experience. It’s a moment that lingers, a gift that continues to grow as those present take that good spirit back into their homes, workplaces, and communities.

🖤💛❤️ National Sorry Day – A Time for Reflection, Respect and Healing ❤️💛🖤
On National Sorry Day, we take a moment to reflect on the strength and resilience of the Stolen Generations, and to honour the ongoing journey of healing for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

It was a privilege for us to MC and be involved in the City of Parramatta’s Sorry Day event, surrounded by community, Elders, and local leaders.
The ceremony was a heartfelt expression of remembrance, care, and shared respect.

We’re grateful to Parramatta City Council for creating space to acknowledge the past, recognise the pain still felt today, and walk gently together toward a more understanding and united future.

We carry these moments forward with deep pride and commitment not just on Sorry Day, but every day.

This week we gathered for a special Welcome to Country, smoking ceremony and ochre ritual to mark the beginning of construction for the new Canine Facility at WSA.

With the scent of eucalyptus in the air and ochre grounding us in culture, the CPB team and the WSA community came together to honour Country, pay respect to Elders past and present, and bless the site.

A beautiful and meaningful way to start this journey.

On Monday, we stood in solidarity with the community at the International Day of Mourning, commemorated by Blacktown City Council.

I was honoured to be invited to facilitate a Smoking Ceremony and deliver a heartfelt Welcome to Country, acknowledging the lives lost in the workplace and the ongoing impact on their families and communities. It was a moment of deep reflection, healing, and unity and a reminder of the importance of safety, care, and respect in every workplace.

Having my wife and four of our younger sons there with me made the day even more meaningful. Bringing community together to the circle, on Country, to share grief and strength was a powerful reminder of the resilience we hold when we come together.

We pay our respects to those we’ve lost, and to those who carry their memory every day.
