I’m so excited to be showcasing my florals 🤍 With over seven acres of enchanting European-inspired botanical gardens, I was instantly captivated by the artistry of the landscape. From fragrant heritage roses and lavender to sculpted topiary and hidden garden rooms. Merribee feels like stepping into the French countryside… but right here on the NSW South Coast. Dating back to the 1820s, the estate has been lovingly transformed into one of Australia’s most beloved wedding venues.

For the Open Day, I’ll be creating floral designs inspired by that timeless romance. Think abundant garden blooms, soft movement, vintage urns, and an effortless elegance that feels both refined and perfectly at home amongst the gardens.

I’m still deciding on the final colour palette… do I embrace the timeless green and white, or lean into buttery creams with soft golden sun drenched yellows? 🌿🍋 I’d love to hear which you’d choose.

I never planned to add Hakea Laurina to this arrangement, but how could I resist? One of Australia’s most unique native flowers, its pincushion blooms bring so much texture, charm, and personality to a design.

I love creating bouquets that feel a little unexpected. This design brings together classic cottage garden blooms with the striking textures of Australian natives, creating something that feels both elegant and untamed.

One of my favourite details is the native coral fern cascading out the bouquet. It adds such a beautiful sense of movement. That is both wild and whimsical! Paired with soft hydrangea, tulips, roses, cymbidium orchids, anthurium, delphinium, banksia, gum, amaranths, and native textures. The result is a bouquet full of personality and charm.

Tulips were a special request for this wedding, chosen to honour the bride’s Dutch grandmother. While tulips originally arrived in the Netherlands centuries ago, they became so beloved that they’re now one of the country’s most iconic flowers. Their elegant shape, delicate petals, and rich history made them the perfect bloom to weave a little family heritage into the day 🌷
