Leandro Ramos floral Design Leandro Ramos My passion for floral arrangement started many years ago when i decorated a simple community hall for my parent's 25th wedding anniversary.

Since then family friends have asked if I can help them decorate their special celebrations. I was invited to do weddings, birthdays and special events. I then decided to enrol myself into a course called floral art in a near by community college. Here they thought us basic concepts and rules about how to deal with the different types of flowers. I still remember what the lecturer told me, "you ha

ve a knack for this". So i decided to pursue this career and so far it has been an amazing journey not only making these creations but being part of someone's memory is priceless. To inquire please do not hesitate to call or send me an E-mail shown on this page.

Every year the Filipinos at Dilwich Hill celebrate their Fiesta on the month of May. I help them decorate the church usually with Chrysanthemums, as may is the month for mothers.

So what do you do when one of your family members get married?

This was probably one of my most difficult projects because it was my brother's. I had to bring out all of my best and i hope that I did.

The bride wanted spring flowers with hues of pink. She wanted her bouquet to look as of she went out to the fields and picked a bunch of flowers for her special day.

I tried to keep it simple as required by the couple but with a little WOW factor. The church had flowers on pedestals along the aisle and along the sides of the church where the statues are housed.

But when it came to the reception, I played a little. As you step up the stairs you were greeted with a huge tower of lilies which were also filled with small cup cakes. Then you were escorted to your table where you saw hanging tea lights hanging from branches anchored by a bucket full of flowers. We made individual name plates that were stabbed into a pot of Chrysanthemum.

My main objective for this wedding was to make it grand using only Arum lilies and Roses. The client also instructed myself to use the lilies for the reception after the church ceremony.

The bridal Party all had Roses with a touch of soft Pink. A basket of flowers for the flower girl and a rose posy for the bride and bridesmaid.

After the Ceremony, the lilies were dismantled and driven to the reception. They were divided and placed into large vases showing their long magnificent stems over hanging from the centre of the table.

The Bride and groom wanted their wedding to be simple. The marriage ceremony and reception was held in the same place.

So I decided to create a different atmosphere for the ceremony which was held on the lower ground and for the formal reception which was held on the upper floor.

The lower ground was all in white. The aisle was created using flower stands covered with white satin and a spray of white Singaporean Orchids. Then it leads you to the front with two large white urns with green foliage and white flowers.

The bride and groom wanted a low arrangement as their centre piece as well as lots of candles. So I decided to pick an item and blew that out of proportion. there were rose petals every where in hues of red and pink. they were on all tables, desert buffet and on hurricane candle holders submerged in water. there were also candles in all forms, floating, pillars and tea lights.

I love using orchids, they are versatile and they last for a long time. So for this simple occasion I placed a bunch of orchids straight up showing off their wonderful petals.
