You are spending way too much time on administration and repetitive tasks.

1) do you use AI to help you do mundane tasks?
2) do you use AI to complete tasks quicker?
3) do you use AI to suggest playful, creative ways to plan lessons?
3) do you use AI to fuel your creative thinking?

If you answered no to any of these, you aren't alone.

In our Creative Toolkit workshop we look at simple AI tools and ideas that will help you day-to-day and in your classes.

We talk about literacy and numeracy gaps… but what about the creativity gap?

When creativity is undervalued, students lose the chance to develop imagination, innovation, and adaptability.

At The Brightspace, we’re closing that gap with programs that make creativity a daily habit.

What happens when a 4-year-old teaches a 64-year-old a new game?

Rules get… flexible.

Everyone laughs.

No one cares who wins.

That’s the kind of learning you can’t measure on a test.

We've created an Intergenerational Play Program that we know works. It's one of the Signature Programs developed at our centre and it's a true joy of ours.

Not sure where to start? We can help.

What everyone should know about creative intelligence

It's not just for artists. It's deeper than that.

You know how some of the best ideas come from connecting different things? That’s creative intelligence in a nutshell. It's the powerful blend of logic with imagination, empathy with innovation, and vision with action.

It's a skill you learn and develop.

It doesn't matter how old you are.

It doesn't matter how long you've been teaching.

It's about thinking differently, not just for the sake of it, but to build a better future for yourself and for your students.

What if your classroom had no walls — and the ocean was your whiteboard?

Our Beach & Bush Kindy program uses nature as both teacher and textbook.

Children learn problem-solving through tidal patterns, storytelling through driftwood, and collaboration while building in the sand.

Creative intelligence in action.

If you aren't near a beach, what about the bush or park?
The concept is the same and we can help you make it real!
We've got the experience and tools that can transform an idea into practice.

We had an incredible day with the crew at who do amazing work supporting young adults with varying disabilities.

We dived deep into how creative intelligence can be used in their daily planning and weekend outings. It's about finding new ways to connect, problem-solve on the fly, and design experiences that truly help their clients.

When the people supporting our community feel equipped with fresh strategies, it makes a huge difference to the outcomes for everyone involved. A really rewarding session with a very dedicated group. ♥️

How we encourage creative thinking in the team.

1. We start with the problem, not the solution: pose a real problem, empower them to design the solution

2. Permission to prototype and fail: psychological safety to try something without fear of failing

3. Ideation time: leave rules and assumptions at the door

4. Change the environment: breaks habitual thinking

5. Collaborative mash up: grouping staff for diverse perspectives

6. Treat creativity as a muscle, not a talent: it's a skill that can be built

7. We show, don't tell: showcasing our unique practices, inspire by example

What they should be focused on instead is PD that:

- Builds creative, practical approaches to teaching
- Strengthens collaboration and trust
- Boosts wellbeing and resilience
- Embeds change-ready mindsets and
- Delivers greater impact in classrooms and beyond

We’re still teaching as if the world changes slowly.

It doesn’t.

Creative intelligence isn’t optional for future-proofing education — it’s the infrastructure.
That’s why we incorporate creative thinking development in our staff training.
That's why we’ve built Beach Kindy, Intergenerational Play, and Project-Based Learning into our DNA.
That's why we strive for a culture of creativity, embedded in the day to day.
