Bookticket is designed by specialists who individually have been involved in the organisation of various events. At first, we just wanted the flexibility to sell tickets online for the community group events with which we were involved. We wanted to make it easy for people to buy our tickets without relying on any one person to sell them. The big ticketing guys were too big and too expensive, and we did not have big-ticket prices. So we built our own system and incorporated features that were important to us. Our team is made up of technology specialists who individually have been involved in the organisation of various events. We understand the constraints of spreadsheets, manual ticketing and cash collection. As a result of our combined frustrations with what was on offer in the market, we created a ticketing system that’s designed by organisers for organisers.
