We’re excited to announce what we hope will be the first annual Waterside Workers Foundation Sportsman’s Lunch – raising funds for:
• War of the Wharves
• The Benevolent Society (supporting local kids in need)
• Eastern Suburbs PCYC

📅 When: Friday 5th September
📍 Where: Juniors at the Junction, Maroubra
⏰ Time: 1pm – 5pm
💲 Tickets: $130pp (includes 4 hours of drinks & delicious canapés)

The latest video was released for the IDC Conference held in Charleston, South Carolina, USA, in June 2025.

The Sydney branch delegation proudly presented the War on the Wharves concept — a unifying initiative that brings together maritime workers to raise money for charity through friendly competition and international solidarity.

The video features current union involvement from MUA (Maritime Union of Australia), MUNZ (Maritime Union of New Zealand), and ILWU142 (International Longshore and Warehouse Union - Hawaii).

We are now calling on new comrades from across the global maritime industry to join us for the next War on the Wharves. Let’s stand together, raise funds for a good cause, and strengthen the bonds of unity on the waterfront!
