Some weddings you finish and immediately start talking about on the drive home. Jasmine and Akshay’s was one of those.

These two met on Instagram, both Punjabi, both with roots in Ludhiana, one in Brisbane and one in Melbourne. Years of long distance, flights, FaceTimes, all of it, before finally closing the gap for good. Honestly, looking at how happy they were the entire weekend, every single one of those flights was worth it.

Sangeet in Brisbane. Haldi and wedding ceremony in the Gold Coast hinterland. Reception in Melbourne. Every single event had the same energy, warm, chaotic in the best way, and full of people who were genuinely happy to be there.

The wedding ceremony at Rosewood Estate, Beechmont, was something else. Open air mandap, the entire Numinbah Valley behind them, smoke bombs going off during the pheras. The Ferrari baraat, the juta chupai spilling out onto the lawns, Jasmine being walked in by her brothers with the chunni held above her. Their families were incredible throughout, warm, fun, involved in every moment. Our whole team had the best time.

And then golden hour hit and Rosewood just did its thing. That light, those rolling hills, the two of them finally having a quiet moment together after the whole day. Those are the frames we’ll remember.

Jasmine and Akshay, you and both your families were an absolute joy. Can’t wait for you to see the full film.

The night before and the night after. Both equally unhinged. In the best way.

Leena and Kunwar did their welcome dinner lakeside at and honestly it set the tone for the whole weekend. Bao buns, gulab jamuns, “Drunk in Love” candles on the table, a fun fact on every napkin that their first ever getaway together was to Bowral. So of course they got married here. That detail alone tells you everything about these two.

Then the reception. Pizza coming in on a paddle at midnight. Someone on the table with a mic. Leena being lifted up by the crowd mid-song. Kunwar on the dancefloor completely unravelling in the best way. The barn at Centennial was absolutely going off.

These two don’t do anything halfway and we were right there for every single second of it. Genuinely one of the most fun weekends we’ve had behind a camera in a long time.

Leena & Kunwar, you were electric. Every. Single. Day.

Rik and Harman, your wedding was something else. That morning getting ready, Harman’s mum fixing her dupatta with this quiet smile on her face.

Then inside for the Anand Karaj, four lavaan, the whole room completely still for every single one.

And then golden hour. That Sydney autumn light came through the trees and honestly we just kept shooting. That red lehenga, that orange dupatta catching the wind, those grounds. Some of our favourite portraits of the year right there.

What made this one extra special for us, this is the second time we’ve been part of this family’s story. We shot Jasleen & Bikraj’s wedding few years ago and getting called back, walking in and already feeling at home, that’s not something we take for granted.

Rik and Harman, congratulations you two. Absolutely loved every second of the celebrations.

Grandwood Gurudwara in Glenwood is genuinely one of the best spots in Western Sydney for a Sikh ceremony. If you’re planning an Anand Karaj in Sydney, keep this place on your list.

The third time we’ve stood on the edge of tears at this family’s wedding.

Malvika. Meghana. And now Astha.

Three sisters. Three weddings. Years of showing up, setting up, packing down, and somewhere along the way becoming people who feel more like family than vendors. That’s the only word for it.

Astha, you were unreal on your wedding day. The henna, the veil, the way Andrew looked at you when your parents walked you down the aisle. The entire ceremony had this warmth to it that I genuinely cannot explain. Outdoor, waterfront, the Harbour Bridge in the background and a floral arch that I am still thinking about.

Andrew, watching you dip her under the Sydney night sky. Come on. That’s a photograph.

These two had a reception that their guests will talk about for years. First dance with dry ice rolling across the floor, a crowd that was absolutely on it all night, and the kind of chaos and joy that only happens when two families genuinely love each other.

We had the best time. We always do with this family.

Astha and Andrew, 10.05.2026. Forever.

Raining on your wedding day? No problemo.

Leena and Kunwar didn’t even blink. The skies opened up, the umbrellas came out, and these two just kept smiling like it was the plan all along. Kunwar holding Leena’s dupatta over her head in the rain, her laughing through it, that was one of those moments you just can’t manufacture.

They were an absolute dream to be around all day. Relaxed, fun, completely in it together. The kind of couple where you stop thinking about work and just start enjoying the day with them. We had the best time.

And then there’s the venue. is something else entirely. That garden, the cypress tree avenues, the rolling hills of the Southern Highlands sitting behind everything. The team there does a bespoke menu with fresh local produce from the region and their cool-climate wines are genuinely exceptional.

Congratulations Leena & Kunwar. One of our favourites from this year, no question.

Most people don’t think about this until it’s too late.

You spend months choosing a venue. You spend weeks deciding on flowers. You spend more time than you’d like to admit on centrepieces that’ll be gone by midnight.

And then your wedding day comes, and it’s over before you even feel like it started.

The strange thing about big moments is that the bigger they are, the less you actually hold onto them. Your brain is too overwhelmed to store it properly. Too much emotion, too many people, too much happening all at once.

What you remember, years from now, won’t be the day itself. It’ll be the photos. The film. The things that were captured while you were busy just trying to keep it together.

That’s the part most couples realise too late. Not that they wished they’d spent more on flowers. That they wished someone had been there who really knew how to hold onto a moment.

Save this if you’re in the middle of planning. And share it with someone who needs to hear it.

Flew up to the Gold Coast for this one and honestly, we never wanted to leave.

Karan and Kudrat’s Anand Karaj at was absolutely beautiful.

The Marina Lawn is stunning on its own, that heritage manor, the waterways, the grounds. But nobody warned us about the kangaroos just casually wandering around during the bride portraits. Australia showed up for this one.

Kudrat in that ivory and gold lehenga, through the palm grove with the veil catching the light, while a couple of roos watched from the trees. You could not have scripted it better.

And Karan, that forest green pagri against the white sherwani? So sharp. The qawali performers adding that layer of soul to the whole day just took it somewhere special.
The ceremony space under the marquee was soft, airy, and so beautifully put together. Cushions on the floor, florals everywhere, all of it looking out onto the property. It felt intimate even with the scale of it.

Karan and Kudrat, you made a Gold Coast trip one for the books. So glad we got to be there for it.

The first ever Punjabi reception at Star Brisbane. And they went absolutely all out.

Raman and Jasmen, this one’s going to live rent free in our heads for a very long time. 500 guests, a room that looked like it was styled for a Bollywood film set, dhol players leading the bride in like royalty, and a first dance that had the whole place on their feet.

The Star Brisbane is a stunning venue. That ballroom lit up in pink and purple with towering floral arrangements? Genuinely one of the most spectacular setups we’ve seen at a Punjabi reception in Australia. The team there absolutely delivered.
Being part of the first ever Indian wedding reception held at this venue was a moment. You could feel everyone in that room knew they were part of something special.

Raman and Jasmen, you two were absolutely electric. This is the kind of energy that makes editing feel like a privilege.
