Our Story
Floral Instinct was created in 2009 as Lucy and Guy Wright searched for a business that could provide for their young family and allow them the freedom to not have to work in corporate Australia. (Redundancy caused by the 2008 GFC had been the last straw)
Being a professional florist, Lucy realised that most businesses would like to incorporate flowers as the finishing touch for their receptions, however the weekly cost, and the short 1-week lifecycle made it financially unworkable on a regular basis.
On a chance visit to a national homeware’s expo, Lucy noticed some high-quality artificial stems and started her thinking. Could beautifully design arrangements using these high-quality stems provide an opportunity for business owners to give their receptions the X factor finishing touch they wanted?
The rest, as they say, is history, and Floral Instinct has been helping businesses put on their most welcoming, warm, and inviting face, along with reducing floral costs by more than 80%, ever since.
