What looked like a 2 week brace has become a wait a see fashion accessory, 6 weeks and counting now 🙄. Finally seeing some stability in my wrist so it looks like the brace and therapy is working and I shouldn’t have to see my hand surgeon again 🖐 😃
4 weeks until my next appointment with my therapist. Hopefully I’ll see some more improvement with the new exercises I was given today.

My therapist wants to try this different wrist brace. Hopefully it will allow my ligaments and tendons to heal so I can avoid further surgery. My next appointment is in 2 weeks. My return date is still to be confirmed. I can’t wait to get back in to my studio but ligaments take a long time to heal 😢 🪅

After seeing my hand surgeon last week and therapist today, I still have some ligament and tendon damage and will need some more therapy. I have another appointment in 2 weeks where I will be getting a new wrist brace that will hopefully help me slowly return to the studio and avoid further surgery🤞

I saw my orthopaedic surgeon this morning, he is happy with the main bone but the ulnar styloid hasn't healed. He is concerned about joint instability and ligament damage and has referred me to a hand surgeon.
My appointment isn't until the end of March. Unfortunately the studio will have to remain closed a bit longer. Here are before and after x-rays if you're interested

A quick update from the studio! 🪅
​As many of you know, I’ve been on a recovery journey following broken wrist and surgery. To ensure I can get back to creating the piñatas you love I’ve had to make the tough decision to extend my hiatus for possible further surgery and specialized care.
​While my return date is currently 'to be confirmed,' I am using this time to refine my templates and plan for a massive 2026.
​I am so grateful for the support everyone has shown me and Ebony! 🐾 If you have a special event coming up later in the year, please comment below to join the 2026 Expression of Interest list. You’ll be the first to know when the production calendar officially re-opens.
