This post is in dedication to Louis Lovell & his family. Louis was diagnosed with infantile on-set Krabbe disease, an incredibly rare genetic disease which affects the nervous system.
"Louis will now no longer suffer, he is at peace. He has become an angel and will be remembered for so many things including his strength, bravery, courage, adaptation, love of living life to the fullest and ultimately he was an inspiration to everyone who met him, of all ages. He taught us all something in his short lifetime." - James Lovell, Louis' dad
3 months ago I promised to count the number of faces I painted for the rest of the year, and for each face donate $1 to childhood dementia. In total I've painted 153 faces, so I will be making a donation to for $153.
I'd like to match that donation with a futher $153, so, if you are able, please click to donate to the Childhood Dementia Initiative.
Childhood dementia results from progressive brain damage and is caused by over 100 rare genetic disorders. These conditions are genetic and children are born with them. Due to little funding, research into treating or even slowing childhood dementia has been very limited. Most children die before turning 18. With awareness and more research, we can and will improve survival and quality of life for children with dementia. You can join the movement transforming life for children with dementia.
