Up to eight people, a room each, and the whole property for two nights or more.

That’s an Executive and Founder Offsite with Wylde Systems in Kangaroo Valley. It’s small on purpose.

You bring the decision that hasn’t been getting made in the office. Wylde arranges the days around it: working sessions when people are fresh, time outside between them, and dinner kept as dinner.

One day in Kangaroo Valley, properly hosted.

Arrive late morning at Lake David. A welcome, drinks, then lunch at a shared table. A botanical walk in the afternoon.

That’s roughly how a full Hosted Day Experience with Wylde Systems runs, and there’s a half-day version too. Up to 24 guests, your group only, no overnight stay needed.

Shake like you mean it!

Around 30 guests joined our recent cocktail class, and most had never used a shaker before. Paired up and with a little help from our crew, they made a lemon myrtle margarita and a roast wattle, cacao and local honey espresso martini.

Not drinking? You still get the good glass.

Same coupe, same garnish, same attention to how it smells and how cold it is. If you can pick the alcohol-free drink from across the lawn, we haven’t done it properly.

This is our trolley at Lake David in March: petals and botanicals ready in the tray, and guests straining their own drinks.

Before the first drink, a walk.

In March we took guests through the trees at Lake David and slowed everyone down to plant pace. What’s that smell? What’s this leaf? Can you eat it? Often the answer is no.

That last answer matters. Plenty of what grows here is worth knowing about and has no business in a glass, so what we point out and what we pour are two different lists.

First thing in the morning at Lake David.

Bread on the bench, coffee on, the doors open to the lawn and the lake behind it. Nobody is expected anywhere.

Everyone photographs a place like this at sunset. We think it has to be just as good at breakfast, when you’re in yesterday’s jumper and haven’t said a word yet.

A Private Group Stay with Wylde Systems is two nights, usually Friday to Sunday, for four to six people. You have the whole property: the pool, the tennis court, the fire after dinner and the mornings.

We took the trolleys bush.

Meet Wylde Systems: private stays at Lake David, a property beside Lake Yarrunga in Kangaroo Valley. One group at a time, a little over two hours from Sydney.
